Here's a portrait I worked on today along with a process breakdown with some of my thoughts. I think portrait studies are a fantastic way to practice your fundamentals and create a piece from A to Z relatively quickly (compared to illustrating a whole character or scene). Since Patreon only has a 200mb file size limit and I often juggle 3-4 pieces as I'm working on them, I will try a new format for sharing my files. Here's a little tutorial on how to get a really clean rendering look relatively quickly for stylized work. I use this when I my concepts require maximum precision and accuracy without needing to model it myself from A to Z.

Here is the final design for this character! After giving it a break for a couple days, I came back with fresh eyes and revisited some of the secondary details to add a bit more functonality to her costume.
