Shibari Shoot

A collection of images form a shoot I did with Garth Knight that took upwards of 6 or 7 hours. It is a work of art. My personal experience with Garth was very liberating. It was intense, I had never done shibari before and was very new to the scene. I found it a way to reclaim my body by actively relinquishing control. Sub space is paradoxical. BTS a day off at fringe

Today I woke up at 11am and eventually made coffee.

I am getting directly back into bed to drink it and write.

My body is very sore from doing shows and not properly warming up but Perth fringe is going really well. Happy to be here ☺️

Upgraded my gloves, broke my nail 😔

We open tonight and I was doing a quick costume check before I headed in and oops ! I broke a nail !

I know it seems like nothing but my nails are already short so that means climbing silks and playing piano will be ou by tonight.

All that being said, the gloves look great and the costumes still fit (barely) and tonight should be a wonderful time opening in Perth for fringe :)

The Shakespeare Hotel Shoot

The OG shoot for Wonderfully Terrible Things was at the Shakespeare hotel in Surry Hills shot by photographer James Broadhurst.

It was never meant to be a wtt shoot… basically I did a whole other shoot on Lyra (aerial hoop) for the cover and it didn’t work as the album cover.

Opening Music Speaks and Rouge for Glenelg Winter Arts was incredibly challenging yet heartwarming. Despite a chaotic morning searching for my passport in every case of unpacked costumes I owned (which ended up being a coffee casualty), the support from friends and fellow artists who rallied to drop off last-minute costumes was truly uplifting.

Currently I perform a shibari vocal act for Rouge, but it is incredibly simple compared to these ties.
