It's hard to pin down exactly which war these people are supposedly from. From their age, you would guess the French Revolution, the one with the guillotines and such... but no year is specifically given for when this story takes place. We can assume it is in the first part of the 20th century since it was published in 1914... which lines up with the Revolution.

A confession: I've had a number of occasions to draw group sex scenes. I'm getting used to them, but they are clunky. Trying to draw such a scene with flow to it... it's beyond me at this point.
