(Future Fragments) Bi-Weekly Progress Report #89
Yeah, I know, I know; the demo isn't out yet, we just want to fix as much as we can before putting out the temporary demo (the polished one will come soon thereafter).
But that's why there was only one cutscene done this time around; most of the last two weeks was spent prepping the Fire Level to be 100% finished off before we move onto the other levels and finishing them off.
Got some more big cutscenes out of the way this time around.
If all goes well, expect something fun sometime next week; it's not going to be the game launch, but it'll be something that you'll hopefully all be able to have some fun with.

Hitting the final few cutscenes, which are unfortunately some of the densest ones to get through and need the most testing/writing, but still making progress slowly but surely.

Had to spend some time testing out/fixing a few unforseen issues that popped up with functionality of the cutscenes from last time around, but otherwise made decent progress.
As a reminder, cutscenes are all of different lengths and content density; roughly the same amount of work is being done each week regardless of the actual number going down.

Other progress reports might have less than this, because the cutscenes that time around were denser/longer, so they took more time to implement.

Had to rework a few things for a few maps, plus assisting with some testing for some of the programming, so didn't get as many cutscenes in this time.

Realized the new layout gave the false impression that only writing/audio is left for the game's release, when there's still a good chunk of programming left too.

As far as progress itself, was a bit busy these last two weeks between the holidays and an unexpected family visit, but still managed to get some cutscenes written, recorded, and implemented.

I do realize that after so many posts without images or videos or something of that sort, that it's hard to really tell that we're making progress outside of just taking our word for it.
However, like I've said before too, all the progress we're making is either "under the hood" stuff (programming) or game spoilers (story).

Not too much to report this week, just progress as usual. Got a decent amount of cutscenes in at least, just over 40.
As noted though, for the next 2-3 weeks (and maybe slightly more, depending on any issues), I'll be writing exclusively and not injecting cutscenes, so as to hopefully finish off all remaining writing.
But that leaves us with less than 100 to go to...

Now, before you freak out at that number, realize that some of these cutscenes take literally only 30 minutes-1 hour tops to put in the game.
However, there ARE some cutscenes (like the core storyline ones) that have a ton of branching variants, or that have a lot of special effects/extra stuff needed to get them working on Frouge's end, and those are the ones that can take upwards of 3-4...
