So... yeah, we see the foundations of magic here. I think that this is a pretty cool system? But I'd love feedback on it. Obviously, MC is gonna test things out at home in the next chapter. Probably won't learn too much, since... well, no teacher or guidance except for some text documents, but still. A few hours of practice might help!
