July Update

Hey, RNG here. I also made the poll, forgot to say. But I'm here to give an update.

What's been taking so long:

Real life. Between real world issues hitting close to home and a momentary health scare, there's plenty to be holding things up. Less depressing reasons are also just jobs, family, and projects going on as well. On top of that, it just takes time to work on this. The paper doll angle is used for control over expressions and frontloading a lot of the work for artwork. But on a coding angle, it means that the eyes, eyebrows, each layer of clothing, mouth, and sometimes even hair need to be kept track of when changing aspects. 

This is why I'm pushing towards writing for this Patreon: many of you have supported us for months and we want something to give. And since I'm the one caught up with my obligations (with the game and a lot of real-life elements), I've been working on stories to start posting here, I hope this month (but if I've learned anything, timelines are easier to make than to meet).

The Plan:

• $1 Tiers will get access to stories using characters who appear in the game, such as Norm, Erickson, Erika, Crystal, and more. These stories will feature many character well before they reach the game proper, so you also get previews of who we have permissions to use. The main character of these stories will not be Norm, however. This is part of why it takes so long: the creator of this character wants to check all writing to make sure they're in-character and tonally correct, and I'm being cautious in writing to begin with. These stories will be treated as canon, although nothing in them will be needed to understand the game.
• $5 Tiers will get access to stories that parody real-world franchises, showing how they would exist in a hypnotic-erotic world like this one. Series like Fairy Tales, Saimin, and Misfortunate Heroine Archives.

I've based this plan on the poll hosted a few days ago. The general consensus is that the stories being entertaining and hypnosis themed are what you guys would like. Please give feedback to this, and on behalf of the team, we look forward to being able to post about an update on the next build of the game.
