Ok so the first question you asked as you saw at the END did happen otherwise it would of been theme song 3 minutes of show and then end credits and as for why AJ didn't have twi use magic to begin with @mindstorm88 mentions it and they are correct but I cant say why because spoilers. oh and as mindstorm88 also mentioned her teleportation isn't new she's done it since season 1 episode 2. and also as they mentioned she is new to it so spamming to get better. (also apologize to mindstorm88 don't know your pro nouns so just using them/they. sorry) Ok now our dear Casper Fox I need to say this and stress how important it is for your sanity. you asked "How'd she get up there" when she dropped down from the top of the frame. ok this is pinkie pie *it's pinkie pie. don't question it* trust me if you think THIS was bad ohhh boy are you gonna lose your mind before we even get near the end of this season and again as many have stated highly recommend watching all the episodes

As you said, Twilight used teleportation only 2 times before this episode: - In the battle against Nightmare Moon, where she looked pretty tired after that - While escaping from townpeople in episode 3, where the speed of the action caused to her and Spike an heavy dizziness and some burn marks. At this point of the show, she needs to master a lot her magical skills, especially teleport which needs a lot of focus and energy. That's why she uses multiple teleports, to exercize her mind and body to handle the teleportation spell without side effects. About why AJ didn't ask for her friends' help, that's because she's a little too proud to do that, and doesn't want to be a burden for others. About Twi not using magic, well, it's pretty much the same reason, plus a certain Apple Family unwritten law you'll discover in episode 11
