DITW 12-3: Interregnum
Added 2023-11-08 18:00:07 +0000 UTCFriday night, alone in the apartment with a glass of wine, Kimmy called Hyun. Hyun answered right away.
“I was just thinking about you.”
“You’re psychic.”
Hyun snuffled a laugh against the phone’s mic. “Maybe I am.”
“How are you?”
“Good. You?”
“What are you doing right now?”
“Right now? Cleaning the kitchen. Sophie and I just had dinner.”
“Aw, Sophie’s back from Chloe’s. Did she have fun?”
“She really did. . . . Sophie says hello.”
Her heart swelled, feeling acknowledged by something so good and innocent. “Say hi back for me.”
Away from the phone, Hyun said, “Aunt Kimmy says hi.” Sophie said something in return, but Kimmy couldn’t make it out.
“Did she eat lots of ice cream?”
“Mr. Wu promised me they monitored the sugar intake.”
They laughed about that, then the conversation got awkward. What they’d shared last night had huge implications, and now that the passion had simmered and they were separated, they walked the aftermath like stepping on glass. After some more strained but friendly patter, Kimmy asked, “When does Sophie go back to Meyer?”
“Sunday afternoon.”
“Do you take her?”
“Yeah,” Hyun said, laughing lightly. “Of course I do.”
Kimmy laughed too, picturing Sophie telling an Uber driver to take her to her dad’s place. “Right up to his apartment?”
“We meet in the lobby.”
“Can you go up to his apartment?”
“Why?”
“Oh, just curious.” Her words sounded lame and grew lamer in the quiet after she’d said it.
The apartment felt cold and dim without Josh in it. She’d been alone a thousand times in the apartment before, but even with Josh absent, his presence felt close. His impending. He’d always be home soon. When he went to Rome, he’d abandoned her, left her trapped in some gloomy cloak. And that’s where she found herself now; swaddled in uncomfortable mopery. And the whole time she treaded in this mire, she fought the terrifying notion he was active behind her back. Snooping through her secrets from afar; determined to hound out her sins. He’d asked her today, point blank: did you fuck him? He’d gone to Devlin. She was sure of it. That fucking slick bastard, that wretched betrayer, would love to fill Josh’s innocent head with all sorts of villainous prompts. And without her to temper them, Josh would be wounded. Devlin would injure Josh.
Voice quieter, more questioning, Hyun asked her what she was doing tonight.
“Josh isn’t here. He’s not coming home tonight. Why don’t you come over? You and Sophie. And we’ll watch movies and make popcorn.”
“Really? Oh... Oh, shoot. Kimmy.”
“What?”
“I’m taking Sophie to figure skating tonight. You can come with us. I’d like that.”
There was hope in Hyun’s voice, the nervous kind, not wanting to stoke a fiery expectation only to have her secret maybe-lover to douse it with a bucket of frigid water. Kimmy set the wineglass on the coffee table and palmed her forehead, leaning forward.
The idea Hyun and Sophie could rescue her from loneliness and anxiety tempted her enough she almost smiled. “I... I’m already on my second glass of wine. I shouldn’t drive.”
“We could pick you up. How about it? Sophie would love that.”
Sophie squealed sounds of encouragement somewhere in that kitchen where Hyun had served her breakfast this morning. After your shower. After you spent the night in bed with her.
“I don’t know...” But now the smile came, and with it a swelling of wet in her eyes that she blinked away, before rubbing them with the heel of her free hand.
Going to the arena with Hyun and Sophie would keep her mind off Josh, and keep her from doing something crazy, like going to Devlin’s apartment to see if Josh was there and then dragging him out of that devil’s domain by his ear.
“Okay,” she said. “I’ll go.”

Seven slices of a Little Caesar Meat Lovers pizza and two cans of Brio had Josh sideways on the couch with his knees drawn up to protect his stuffed and swollen belly. Meyer played Forza on the big screen.
Without looking over, eyes on the screen, Meyer said, “Any time you want to talk, you know I’m sitting right here.”
Josh said he knew, watching Myer’s Corvette race through the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He’d wanted to talk with Meyer tonight, especially since he felt guilty for kind of wrecking Meyer’s date night with Quinn. He’d pictured bringing the pizza over, and they’d crash and start talking, and maybe he would confess some of the sins for which he was guilty. Maybe there could be light at the end of the tunnel. But once they’d started eating, his urge to confess had fizzled to ether. And now the idea he might expose some of his most sensitive vulnerabilities seemed ludicrous. He said, “I know.”
“You don’t want to talk about it?”
It was an easy out and he took it. “Not really.”
“Can you tell me why you’re here instead of at home—did you guys fight?”
“No. No, we didn’t. I just need some space.”
Meyer paused the game and looked over. Josh angled his head so they faced.
“This isn’t in your head anymore,” Meyer said.
“What do you mean?”
“You’re always thinking the worst, but this time you know something.”
Josh shrugged and looked away and Meyer said, “Just talk to me.”
“When I’m ready.”
“That’s fine. Totally fine, Josh. You want to finish this race while I run to the can?”
“No, just keep it paused.”
Meyer said nothing and Josh listened to him heave out of the couch and head down the hall to the bathroom. Josh sat up and rubbed his face, picked up the pizza box and brought it into the kitchen, shoving it as best he could into the crammed fridge. Meyer met him coming out to the family room again. They exchanged an awkward look and then returned to their couches.
“Whatever is going on, I hope to god you guys can work it out. You’re the best couple.”
“Thanks.”
“Don’t you think?”
He thought of it in ways Meyer couldn’t even comprehend. The ways he thought of him and Kimmy together, the way their puzzle pieces connected, weighed heavily on him, his brow lowering as if he was angry. But he wasn’t angry; all he felt was emptiness. “I miss her,” he admitted. “But I need some time to think.”
“I actually think that’s really healthy, Josh.”
“You do?”
“Getting needed space and reflecting? Fuck, yeah.”
Josh sat up again and rubbed his face, groaned and said into his hands, “Buddy, I think I’m going to go to bed.”
“What? It’s Friday night, Josh. Play some games with me? Or why don’t we go see a movie? If we skedaddle, we can make a nine-thirty show.”
“I’m not up for it. We can do that tomorrow. Unless you’re going out with Quinn.”
“She works this weekend.”
“I’m just exhausted. I feel so worn out.”
Meyer’s lips pursed, and he nodded—like he couldn’t argue with Josh’s enervated visage. “Okay,” he said. Then, “Hey, I talked to Quinn about her cousin.”
“The private eye?”
“Insurance investigator. He said he’d help if you want. Quinn can get you the family discount.”
“I’ll think about it,” Josh said and stood.
“Promise me it’s not for Kimmy.”
“It’s not.”
Meyer studied him. “If it is, Quinn will know.”
“It’s not. I’m not spying on her.”
Meyer accepted the answer. “I wouldn’t feel right about that. I don’t know why, I just wouldn’t.”

Josh lay in his little niece’s oversized bed and stared at the ceiling, waiting for passing headlights to send shadows chasing away in a slow sweep before the darkness swallowed the light again. He drifted to sleep and when he woke a while later, he was shocked he’d managed to find any slumber at all, given the dreadful circumstances. He checked his phone on Sophie’s night table, surprised and disheartened to see it was 12:34. Now he couldn’t go make coffee and watch TV as the sun came up. He’d have to try to chase sleep again. And he had a fucking aching hard-on. Absolutely throbbing.
He tossed and turned, but couldn’t escape the thoughts his strange arousal brought along.
The strong arousal rode in on a greenish wave of shame. Absolute and pure shame. His temples throbbed in time with the racing pulse in his erection. His heart pounded lust for debasement, for humiliation, for sheer, depraved indignity. That’s what aroused him. It was in him, and it was in Kimmy, too. Fucking Meyer pointing out how they were good together. Yeah, but why Meyer? Because we’re both degenerates who present like unsuspicious normies? He rolled to his back and folded hands under his head, his cock bowing out the quilt.
How could he ever broach this subject with his cousin without looking like a weakling or a pervert or a fucking loser? The only way he could broach it would be to cast all the aspersion, or at least the majority of it, onto Kimmy. To paint her as the devil, when deep down he feared it might be him.
At least he’d had the courage today to utter the words that had clouded his mind all these weeks, but had never before found the courage to convene on his tongue. As soon as he’d asked it, he regretted it. And was glad Kimmy had obviously repeated what he’d asked her to say. There was no convincing truth in her claim: “Josh, I didn’t fuck him.”
You did. I know you did.
And...
I don’t know how I feel about it. I only know how I should feel about it.
The only thing that mattered was clear. I’m not a chump. I’m not a loser.
But if that was all that mattered, then where did his sorrow bloom from?
Kimmy thinks you want that. Kimmy thinks that turns you on. Devlin has convinced the woman you love—the woman you married—that you are helpless, hapless; a victim. And Kimmy wants to victimize you because she loves you.
“Bull shit,” he whispered to Sophie’s pink and childish room; his common refrain these days. “I’m not a victim. Devlin is a victimizer, but that doesn’t have to make me a victim.”
He raised his knees, sliding his feet soles on the mattress and squeezing his thighs together. This throbbing iron wasn’t going to go away.
In the moments his inner voice subsided and left him alone, all that kept him company were images stoking the fire in his loins. A photo of his wife with her legs open and showing Devlin Stone her glistening pussy. Things he hadn’t seen. Devlin standing with a hard-on as hard as his own current horn, rubbing it and clicking away pic after pic while Kimmy Chang writhed in horny conflagration on a pallet of agricultural supplies. Her hot and aroused pussy smell mixing with chemical fertilizer; nitrates and potassium and earth minerals. Did she moan? Did she squirm? Did she squeal when he fingered her?
Did it hurt when she took his huge cock?
Or did she like it?
If she liked it, did she now crave it?
“Fuck sake,” he said, dropping his legs down and hand-heeling his boner to the side. There was nothing he could do about it. He would never in a million years defile Sophie’s bed with his evil, even if no one ever, ever found out. He wouldn’t go to the bathroom and take matters elsewhere, either.
No. He would lie and suffer all night.
That’s what he deserved.
For over an hour, he lay with his eyes open and stared at the ceiling, no more sweeping headlights to keep him company. In that time, temples throbbing, eyes dry and aching, he thought he saw something that made sense. At least something that restored his essence. He could never do it—but at least he could picture it. And in picturing it, imagine his own restoration.
The only way out was through. It was only once he was through that he could look back and see where he was. See who he was. Who he’d been. And in that cold and unforgiving illumination, he might discover whatever good existed that had been spoiled.

I think he wants a “hot wife” who humiliates him and fulfills him. He however doesn’t want a “hot wife” screwing his High School bully a man he can’t stand! So a happy ending for Josh would maybe be a “hot wife”lifestyle with Kimmy without Devlin in the picture. Of course Kimmy destroyed those plans with her infidelity with Devlin so I don’t this book will have a happy ending for Josh or Kimmy but I could be wrong.

2023-11-10 20:17:18 +0000 UTCMaybe it was an oversight by KT? Either way, I still believe that Kimmy is pregnant. It could just be Kimmy being so out of sorts knowing she’s losing control, so she loses control herself. I believe that she wants this baby, especially after the devastation of the miscarriage, if only as a way to keep Josh with her. As it stands right now, Hyun is the only one who knows she’s pregnant. It’s not like Josh is going to come home and find her drinking. He wouldn’t care.

2023-11-10 11:03:32 +0000 UTCI’d noticed this from when she realised that she was pregnant that she had been drinking whiskey after being introduced to it by Devlin. Apparently she didn’t drink much before that. Of course she didn’t know she was pregnant then, but l worried that there may be blow back for kt for writing this. Drinking now that she knows she is pregnant takes it to another level. However, Other than with Hyun, who knows, if she stopped drinking now it would be a give away. Interesting to read how kt deals with this. It may end up being something else Josh has on her. I don’t believe it’s a phantom pregnancy, I’d feel cheated, and another miscarriage would be really harsh and not really serve a plot purpose. How Josh and Devlin deal with this knowledge may be what shows who has the real courage.

2023-11-10 10:21:28 +0000 UTCShe wants to be a mother. She told Hyun she wanted the baby regardless of the paternity. I got the impression that she was going to use her pregnancy to make Josh stay with her. Now that she knows Josh knows the truth about her affair, she may be having second thoughts. The Josh from the last two chapters will definitely have doubts about the baby’s paternity. Kimmy’s drinking didn’t surprise me as much as Hyun not commenting on it. Kimmy is reckless. Hyun is careful.

2023-11-10 03:46:57 +0000 UTCThat's a great observation! I wonder if that's a subtle tell that Kimmy doesn't want this baby. Might she abort it? Either as an expedient way to remove a "problem," or because she's changed, and no longer is the woman who once wanted to be a mother?

2023-11-10 02:52:30 +0000 UTCI find myself unclear as to what Josh truly wants. Does he want a faithful wife? Or does he want an unfaithful one who fulfills his fantasies? What does a happy ending for Josh look like?
Pete
2023-11-10 02:37:42 +0000 UTCI love how Josh thinks of Kimmy as Kimmy "Chang" rather than Waters, as he imagines her posing for Devlin's camera! As if Kimmy has two personas. It feels like a subtle reference to the classic gothic tale by Robert Louis Stevenson: The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Jekyll and Hyde (Waters and Chang). One a heroine, the other a villain. Two personalities living in one body.
Pete
2023-11-10 02:22:57 +0000 UTCYour right! Maybe Kimmy's not pregnant but delusional! She still hasn't told Josh yet. Maybe the pregnancy is in her mind to try to keep Josh for all the shitty things she did!

2023-11-10 02:00:06 +0000 UTCI just reread this chapter, and realized that Kimmy is drinking wine in the apartment. She’s still pregnant, right? She tells Hyun she’s drinking, too. Hyun is the only one who knows she’s pregnant, but doesn’t say anything.

2023-11-09 16:19:03 +0000 UTCThat comment about Josh being conflicted, for me, is the most important point here. Not that other characters in other books haven't been, but not to this degree. It's almost a flip of a coin as to how Josh will react to a given situation, and he often contradicts himself from chapter to chapter, showing how emotionally unstable he is due to this situation that Kimmy has put him in. So while I can see a scenario where he just throws his hands in the air and gives up and asks for Kimmy to be with Devlin as a capitulation, I think it's not necessarily in keeping with the character that's been built over 11 books who regularly gets disturbed and angry at the thought of Kimmy being with Devlin. My opinions only, of course, and I've been wrong plenty, but the scenario I get here is that Josh is trying to create a situation where he gives Devlin enough rope to hang himself but it also means accepting a huge amount of risk in trusting Kimmy to "do the right thing" while not sharing any of his plans with her. I could easily see a situation where Josh hires this PI and gets a lot more than he bargained for, whether it's an accounting of past indiscretions between Kimmy and Devlin, things he doesn't really want to know, or a video of a desperate Kimmy trying to manipulate Devlin with sex to leave Josh alone. No matter what happens, I don't think it will be what Josh wants or plans, but he'll have to live with the consequences regardless.

2023-11-09 12:15:01 +0000 UTCDevlin does not think in terms of honesty or the need to justify himself... he is proud to be a slick operator... a trader in lies... who knows no doubts as he delivers wicked messages... and builds wooden horses to overthrow proud high walled cities through deception. To him his own satisfaction is guaranteed, and anything that doesn't go his way can be stricken from the ledger of his mind. For him having a conscience would be banal... HE deserves only the best... and delights in crushing losers in the dust beneath his chariot wheels. But in the end not even his granny could love him... He's the stub of an ancient once mighty statue in the dessert... and no matter how much undeserved wealth he accumulates he'll still just be a prick meriting no more sympathy than Eichmann in Jerusalem... 2023-11-09 05:33:40 +0000 UTC@L_S87 That’s what I’ve thought, too. KT’s previous books lead to the feeling of it being an inevitable conclusion. This story is different than some of her others, mainly because it’s a cheating wife story. KT could surprise us. Josh is very conflicted, but at least he’s letting himself question things without the influence of his wife/tormentor. He also really hates Devlin. Being humiliated alone by Kimmy is one thing, but seeing both of them together in person might destroy him. I’m also looking forward to the return of Summer Swap. It stopped right at the good part! Lol
Kat
2023-11-09 05:11:37 +0000 UTCWe still don’t know why Kimmy wants to keep working for Devlin? Even when Josh begged her to quit. She claims to have a plan but we don’t know what it is. Like the other commentators mentioned I think Josh is going to use the P.I. to go after Devlin and his business in the Caymens. Maybe the P.I. will uncover illegal activities, money laundering and close coordination with Reza from Landlord🤣🤣 One can dream of the KT verse!
Andrew Mellein
2023-11-09 03:03:33 +0000 UTCI think most people see it as inevitable because when you remove the characters and the story from the equation and look more broadly at KTs works, her MO would be to find some way to make that happen because that's the way her books usually go. Yes, that ends up feeling somewhat cynical and predictable, that it's a foregone conclusion, but it makes sense. That doesn't mean how it happens is a foregone conclusion, or that the aftermath would be predictable either. Like you, I've never felt it was a shoe in that Josh wanted this, or was even willing to accept it because so much of his desires are wrapped in games and the hypothetical. He has always gotten very bent out of shape with Kimmy the instant it becomes close to reality. The one exception being their last time together discussing what happened at the hotel. He still got angry, but ended up being coerced into acceptance. Josh has a ton of contradictions. He's probably the most complicated person in this story. Knowing that, I've never seen it as obvious that he would definitely want or let Kimmy and Devlin having sex in front of him happen. All that said, the end of this chapter does seem to hint at that. But, it could hint at something else too, because the way it was worded, it's so vague you could interpret any number of scenarios on Josh's cryptic internal musings. KT has a plan, we'll see what that is soon enough. I know I'm going to loath what happens to Josh, but still can't wait to read it. If nothing else, Summer Swap will lighten the mood after this dark disaster.

2023-11-09 01:58:52 +0000 UTCAs Pontius Pilate so pithily put it... What is truth? How would Devlin know it? From what we've seen, he is one thick agenda... an egoist.
Bill F Protagoras
2023-11-09 01:46:14 +0000 UTCI never thought that it was inevitable for Josh to watch Devlin and Kimmy together. Right now Kimmy loathes Devlin more than ever, and it would take her wanting to be with him to make it happen. Josh shows a lot of clarity in his thoughts in this chapter. He seems to have had enough of being everyone’s victim. I believe him when he says he’s done with it. He also seems to see that the life he had with Kimmy before is done. But we also see that he still has so much guilt, as well as that monkey on his back. He can’t help compulsively thinking about Devlin and Kimmy and it turns him on. I do see, after reading this, a path where Josh asks for it to get it out of his system, to make it true. He’s being tormented by sexual thoughts about Kimmy and Devlin. I can see him giving in to it, and hating himself afterwards. And, of course, Devlin is not done with the Waters. He’s going to need his last hurrah. As you said L_S87, something is building up here, and there’s going to be an unhappy collision. Kimmy is likely to get more desperate for Josh. I can see her hooking up with Hyun again, just to stave off her feelings of abandonment and loneliness. I really liked this chapter, and feel that we’re getting to a point where there’s going to be some definite resolution soon.

2023-11-09 01:23:51 +0000 UTCKT does her homework. In the Keely books she mastered the geography of Cambridge MA around HLS. She learned about mining technology in Happy Endings. She cares about the details: In an earlier work she was distraught over a minor error (2-1-2 vs. 1-2-1) in the Delta One cabin for their B777-200LR service between Atlanta and Johannesburg.
Donkatsu
2023-11-09 01:11:59 +0000 UTCYeah, all three of them have different agendas. Kimmy and Josh should be aligned, but they aren't, for obvious reasons. That leaves a pretty large gap for Devlin to exploit. I could easily see Kimmy or Josh setting up something that ends in disaster due to their lack of communication. Whatever Josh has cooked up won't end the way he thinks it will and Kimmy's desperation is going to cause issues.
L_S87
2023-11-09 00:26:18 +0000 UTCI’m worrying about Josh again. Whatever he is going to do probably won’t end well for him. He is outmatched by Devlin and Kimmy.

2023-11-08 23:46:00 +0000 UTCI think that Josh will have to watch Devlin and Kimmy together. It’s inevitable, but how it plays out and the aftermath is what this story will be classified as.

2023-11-08 23:17:16 +0000 UTCDon’t forget Josh had a conversation with Devlin that we know little about yet. I think Josh knows he will have to go through with it and let Kimmy fuck Devlin. He’s practically dying for it. I suspect he is also trying to find some dirt on Devlin. That’s likely going to be in Cayman or something showing Devlin plans to stab his old man in the back somehow. I loved this part where Kimmy thinks on Devlin deceiving poor Josh and how she needs to save him - “That fucking slick bastard, that wretched betrayer, would love to fill Josh’s innocent head with all sorts of villainous prompts. And without her to temper them, Josh would be wounded. Devlin would injure Josh” - yeah he might actually tell him the truth. Is that a hilarious example of lack of self awareness or what? So real and so shameless. It’s brilliant.

2023-11-08 23:12:04 +0000 UTCSo, Josh is screwing himself to the sticking place, hopefully not murder... and both he and Kimmy are contemplating and focussing on her condescension towards him... and Josh is getting aroused by the thought of her mating with another man... which is an evolutionary advantage readying him to compete, ironically, in her impregnation... and unlike gods you don't have to believe in evolution for it to work... and feeling you're a degenerate will not free you from its power to make you revel in passionate rutting... and the mess it makes... It's the best of worlds, it's the worst of worlds.

2023-11-08 21:58:03 +0000 UTCAll good points. Those last two paragraphs from Josh confuse me as I'm not 100% sure what KT was trying to convey. Your idea of watching Kimmy and Devlin does seem to fit, and yet he's also talking about not being a victim and you can't be much more victimized than watching someone you hate have sex with someone you love. Plus, none of this seems to touch on Josh saying he needs space from Kimmy, although that could be because he wants this to be his plan, his decision, rather than just being bullied into whatever Kimmy decides. The one thing I do get from those last few paragraphs is that it feels like Josh has given up. Not so much in the watching Kimmy and Devlin thing that everyone talks about, but just life and his relationship in general. Everything he speaks of is in past tense, as if it's a forgone conclusion that his marriage is destroyed and he'll be looking back at the pieces to pick out what little good there is because there won't be any moving forward. That's sort of contradictory to his last statements of not letting Devlin win, that leaving is cowardly, so I'm interested to see how KT ties this all together. One thing is sure, you are spot on, Kat, with how mercurial Kimmy is. The first of this chapter makes it crystal clear how much she needs Josh for her sanity. Her twisted version of love leaves her bereft without him, and yet with him she's incapable of being the type to nurture that love, rather she's a vampiric parasite, sucking everything good out of their marriage as fuel to power her taboo adventures. Without them on the same page, at some point their competing priorities are going to collide. The trainwreck Devlin is waiting for while rubbing his hands gleefully.

2023-11-08 21:50:30 +0000 UTC“The only way out was through. It was only once he was through that he could look back and see where he was. See who he was. Who he’d been. And in that cold and unforgiving illumination, he might discover whatever good existed that had been spoiled.” I read this passage as Josh having to inevitably watch Devlin and Kimmy together. Seeing what he’s been lusting after in the literal flesh. Once he sees it’s real he can move on? I know it’s the easy path, but I think it sounds like Josh is going hire a PI to follow Devlin and Kimmy, and get pictures, etc. I don’t know, it’s might be a possibility? Josh is adamant in not being Devlin’s victim anymore, so the PI might also be to spy on Devlin’s business, find something to take him down? If the business is gone, then Kimmy can’t work for him anymore either. If anyone is going to do anything violent to Devlin it sounds like it might be done by Kimmy. Her hatred for him is even greater now that Josh has left her. She’s referring to him as a “wretched betrayer.” What I don’t get with Kimmy is that she portrays herself to be so tough, so cold and calculating, but she can’t handle being alone in her apartment for a day. I know she’s worried about what Devlin might be telling him, but if Josh’s comfort was that important to her then why the hell is she screwing around on him every chance she gets? I know, she has no self control, and the thing with Hyun was a terrible mistake, but she went from mean and scary in the parking lot the night before, to crumbling in pieces on her couch the next night. When they’re together she’s tormenting him. When he’s gone she’s falling apart. Just some thoughts. So far Book 12, has been amazing. It’s so well written, the thoughts, the dialogue, etc.

He should have been truthful with Meyer about Kimmy and his POV showed he loved to be debased and humiliated by Kimmy. Would he accept Kimmy with Devlin while he watched? I cant wait till Devlin shows up and things get good!

2023-11-08 19:07:21 +0000 UTCIndeed, a great surprise, with all sorts of unexpected potential. Kimmy is adrift and needs Hyun to bail her out. Josh has a plan, apparently. God only knows how disastrous that will be, but it appears to involve a PI. I wonder if he plans on finding some dirt on Devlin as a way to divest him from his current position? With Devlin no longer Kimmy's boss, the temptation goes away? Or the supposed temptation. I'm afraid what Josh is going to get instead is a heaping helping of the truth he doesn't want. He thinks if he can get rid of Devlin, it will solve the breach that has developed between he and Kimmy, but I'm afraid the exact opposite is going to happen. We'll see. I hope he's not lying to Meyer and is going to spy on Kimmy. That might help in a different way, short term, but would wreck his relationship with Meyer long term with few benefits. Can't wait to find out!
