Trial Separation Audio
Added 2025-02-11 23:00:06 +0000 UTCHoo boy. Some raw unedited audio where you will hear a sleeping-dog dream-woof, and plenty of screw-ups and frustrated grumbling!
Would this sound any good if edited?

Long time fan and yes you should do audio editing! For your own sanity, that's why. I'm a lifetime audio engineer, 35+ years. The ability to stop and reset then reread a section of text is a very powerful tool. ADR(Audio Dialog Replacement) is used in TV and movie production all the time. I could hear you start to get frustrated when you made a mistake then you make more as your frustration level rises. You need breaks to clear your throat drink water etc. So the answer is yes you need to be able edit, adjust audio level, etc. By the way you have a very lovely voice with good diction. I loved the dog bark. It gave me an instant vision of the storyteller sitting by the fireplace with the dog asleep by her side. Can't say I detected a Canadian accent but I'll leave that to the Professor Higgins types in the chat.

2025-02-12 02:25:50 +0000 UTCHa ha. I listened to one of those super long litrpg series and the narrator messed up and laughed and they left it in and I thought it worked so well with the book vibe it made me laugh. I was trying to be professional but it's hard.

2025-02-12 01:54:21 +0000 UTCHave you listened to "All Fours: A Novel" ? The author, Miranda July narrates her own work. I agree that the "fuck's sake" and the pup dog were charming.

It was a little uncanny tbh so not a fan, but you'll never see me yuck someone's yum, I think im realizing I dont like erotic fiction being read to me haha. Especially if it sounds like the person thanking the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for their contribution to NPR ... The pausing was funny yeah I agree. The "fucks sakes" was funny for sure. As well as the Canadian accent peaking through as was also said. I will say, there is a benefit to hearing what some of the dialogue should be heard like. I have had questions sometimes understanding what some of your characters are conveying when their reactions have as many layers as KT writes them out. Maybe there could be some context in the delivery via audio? Hmm, I think I just talked myself into likinf audiobooks for KT stories now ... I'm also realizing I'll only accept them if they include self deprecating moments while they are being read like in this.

"Robert went down to the corner store to buy batteries, as the only working flashlight was now fading." As opposed to: "Robert went down to the corner store to buy batteries, as the only working flashlight was now fading."
