A little about VaultZ and Me (Future plans)

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I promised to make this post, but my life has been busy and I haven’t had time to do it before. I try to avoid bringing my personal life into my professional life, but some situations are inevitable and I believe that this helps me get closer to you and be more transparent. I will make two versions, a short version and a more detailed version

Just to remind you that May will have Throwback (I will make a post to know which minis you want), and in June we will pause Patreon and no one will be charged. This month’s minis, as they are late, will be released on MMF and Google Drive for you to access.

SHORT VERSION:

The image above is my workplace, every object in this photo was purchased with Patreon money. I’ve always invested heavily to bring more quality minis to you, and that makes me very happy.

Lately I’ve been going through some situations that are giving me challenges to manage my time between work and personal life. Such as moving house and getting married. But I’m trying everything to deliver the minis and not have to stop Patreon.

With that, I decided to pause Patreon for 2 months (1 month will be Throwback), which I believe will be a good time to help me organize things. And I only plan to come back with all the minis ready from July.

But if I can’t, I’ll pause for another month and only come back when I can do it.

All these changes in my life (Good changes) are happening thanks to all of you, and I’m very grateful to everyone. I’ll do everything I can to deliver a quality product to all of you, THANK YOU!

DETAILED VERSION:

My first minis (the ones from the Welcome Pack) were all made with a mouse. Yes, I didn’t have a tablet and my PC couldn’t handle many details. The first few months of VaultZ work were spent buying my first computer with good parts (at the time of the pandemic it was ABSURDLY expensive). I received a digital drawing tablet as a gift from my sister (she’s a designer) and that’s when I fell even more in love with this work. Until after a few months, I was able to buy my Wacom display (this one in the photo), which helped me a lot to make strokes more accurately and quickly.

Due to some everyday situations, I found myself away from my PC and this made me more worried about not being able to deliver the minis of the month. That’s when I bought my iPad Pro, along with the Nomad Sculpt app, which helped me A LOT with portability and autonomy, and I could work wherever I wanted without feeling too stuck in front of the PC

Before VaultZ, I had a small FDM 3D printing company. But in my city it was still little known and there wasn’t much interest. Since I was a child I always played with modeling programs, so I always had that knowledge. Until one day I bought the Zombicide board game and was enchanted with the miniatures. I always liked to customize my things and create my mods for games to be my way. And it didn’t take long for me to have many ideas for zombicide and customize it.

I modeled some new survivors and zombies and asked a resin printing shop to print them. I was delighted with the quality and started having several ideas. Without thinking twice, I got into debt (lol) to buy a resin printer and print my pieces.

I looked for several zombie and survivor miniatures and it was very rare to find a good one. With this gap in the market, I decided to make mine and post them on Patreon for those who were like me looking for zombie miniatures. I never imagined that it would go beyond 10 Patrons, today we are 240 (Thank you very much!)

With the advancement of VaultZ, I was able to establish myself financially, and decided to take big steps in my life. I proposed to my girlfriend and we are going to move out of the house (we live in a house inherited from family).

After these steps, my life is busier than ever, organizing the wedding (it will be at the beginning of May), building the new house, organizing the moving boxes and selling the old house. This made me accumulate much more work.

With that, I decided to pause Patreon for two months (1 month will be Throwback). But if I can’t make all the minis for July in that time, I’ll pause for another month until I bring what was promised. I believe I will finally be able to organize this Patreon.

I feel that lately I’ve been distant from you guys. I’ve always been a very socially closed person with poor knowledge of English, and with the growth of Patreon, I felt increasingly insecure about talking to you guys, so I always avoid exposing my personal life and who I am.

With the arrival of Skullpt, it helped me a lot to feel more at ease with this, since he is much more active than me and updates me every day about everyone’s messages. Thank you Skullpt!

That said, I am very grateful to God for everything in my life and I want to thank all of you very much for all of this. Everything I’ve told here has only happened because of you guys and I’m extremely grateful to everyone. From my work equipment to my wedding, everything thanks to you guys.

I really hope to be able to organize everything from VaultZ in these two months and bring you more and more varied and quality miniatures. Seeing you guys excited about the printed and painted minis brings me enormous satisfaction. In the midst of this chaos world, knowing that I am contributing to a moment of fun for many people makes me extremely happy.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for being part of my life and often being very understanding with me. Let’s move forward and bring more content to all of you, thank you very much guys. <3
