seen him live over a decade ago, top show, small venue, was a fan in the early 90's from Fist of Fun days. There's some great shorter clips, can't remember whether you've done some! heh, that's the weed.

Mark has given a good summary therr and just to add, the comedy vehicle series for BBC is probably on Britbox. I think it's series 3 of that which is exceptionally good. The series won baftas. Each show has one theme, and they are so clever, more like performance art, not just funny. 2023-02-28 14:16:48 +0000 UTCHe is an acquired taste, he's made a lot of enemies over the years and has as many haters as fans, but I love the guy, this is his first stand-up dvd from the golden age of the xmas dvd, and he was largely considered the best stand-up comedian in the UK by many of his peers, he's had a spattering of tv success too, done a lot of radio, written a musical (for which there was an actual attempt to charge him with blasphemy), written books, directed shows etc. He's a hard worker, but his downfall is, he doesn't toe the line, he has no interest in greasing palms, so like so many of his peers, he hasn't become part of the comedy panel show conveyor belt, he's still considered just a little too edgy for mainstream media. I'd strongly suggest you watch all his live shows and his BBC tv series 'Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle', he was also once part of a comedy double act called Lee and Herring, and his comedy partner Richard Herring is also a great comedian, his podcast (which is a filmed podcast) called 'Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast' is also very worthwhile watching with some great guests, but it was a very pleasant surprise seeing that you'd reacted to this as I'm a huge fan of Stewart Lee, if you have any issues finding any of his shows in the future I have most of them as mp4 files so could send them to you.
