The mountain is called 'Beinn na Lap' and is a Munro!

Mark Jones

Trainspotting 2 is brilliant. So watch that.

Super Hans

Ma dad told me that this is the perfect movie to show a wein (me, age 12) in Scotland because why hide the truth and what it can do. He said just stick to Mary and drink and although I have tried most other uppers and downers, this movie alone completely put me off the brown stuff

Most sequels don't normally live up to the reputation.. I myself had my doubts since one of my favourite films , However , since the follow up is going off a novel .. can't really drift too far from the authors vision

Bobby

Lucy's comment .. " it was the 90's everybody got laid " πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ P.s the book explains how Renton plans going to amsterdam with the stolen money .. also explained in the sequel

Just noticed the woman on the left in Spud's interview is the actress who plays Tam's wife in Still Game. And the judge is the guy who pretended to be Frank McCallum and stole from Jack & Victor.

Kenneth Swan

I guess the critics who claimed this movie glorified drugs, only watched the first 20 minutes. It's one of the most brutally honest stories of drug addiction ever made (both the book and the movie).

Jay

You should watch the 2nd one. Was released over 20 years later in 2017 and pretty much has the same cast. Great reaction πŸ™‚

Thanks for reacting to this great film, which I watched in an Edinburgh cinema when it first screened. The tall drug dealer who sells Renton the suppositories is played by the original novel's author, Irvine Welsh. I've enjoyed all his many books, some of which feature characters from this story.

Ooooh what an unexpected treat! Gonna watch this tonight πŸ‘

James

Something to look forward to watching when I get home from work today😊

I’ve done some stupid shit in my life (thank god there was no camera phones or TikTok then), but watching this when I was a teenager sure put me off trying heroin .

Erica

I showed my Son this when he was 10, a bit controversial nowadays but he was my Son so I had choice, he was in shock and never touched a drug and he is now 34. He said he could never get the baby on the ceiling scene out of head and knew drugs were a no no even when his friends were all smoking hash etc. I am proud of that and think this movie should be show to every kid at 13 years of age. IMO
