2025-05-19 20:22:14 +0000 UTCI think Birds on a Cloud is supposed to be uncomfortable. My fav song off this album is Ignorance aint bliss. I have no idea why that song works with it's weird pulsing (sidechain???) and very raw feel but I love it. Second fav is Something in the Water despite the random "water" edit. That song was 90s boyz to men tier perfection.

He had a bad night with this person and wakes up begging them for another day with them. I got the same feeling with Gates to Hell; upbeat sound but the lyrics say “I hate you.”

2024-06-10 19:27:14 +0000 UTCZayn had written on this album for the last 6 years. Alienated was the first song, he felt like this at that time. It's a lot of reflection. He said in interviews(Zach Sang, Sirius... ) something about each song. So you can relate to the songs. He also said that he has not given everything away. So there is something underneath as usual. We have to read between the lines. Texts and mvs will give us more information. My favorites are My woman The Time False Starts

Hopefully u get chance to do the Z sides at some point coz they are just as good as the rest of the album. My faves aside from the singles are defo False Starts, My Woman and Shoot At Will, but this entire album is just incredible. Zayns best work by a long way! Totally agree with you that these songs feel more than just your average radio hit and like with Louis' songs, don't need the radio plays and all the promo that comes with coz to the fans they mean more than that. Watching this made me miss streams so much though 😪 coz I miss being able to chat with you during your first listen to anything by these boys especially! Also, miss hearing you sing... would love to hear u cover one of these, Alienated maybe? Even just a few lines 🙏
