Thank you for sharing. I'm happy that you were able to get him the help he needed .

Mark Twain

Not forgotten, some others here already mentioned those 2 films...yes, very notable as well.

I have an autistic son who is now an adult and lives with me. Believe me the struggle is real! But I would like to say so many people for years thought Autism was just one label and the truth is it is an umbrella of symptoms that encompasses autism. A lot of people think because they struggle to communicate that they don't feel emotions, But the truth is, it is completely opposite. They feel everyone's emotions and become overwhelmed very easily. It's a problem with sensory integration which involves many different things. We saw Dustin's character with OCD and the rigorous schedules and the food sameness. I can tell you now that it's a struggle, but it is filled with some of the most beautiful days you can ever imagine..I remember when my son was in kindergarten and Monday was a "blue day" that meant everything he wore had to be blue. Then Tuesday was a yellow day, Wed green...if i didn't have green socks. he would not leave the house...By 4th grade he was enrolled in a public Autism program. But it wasn't enough. Finally, after 5 long years of my advocating and taking on the education system, I won my case and my son was educated at a beautiful very small school for kids with disabilities where they only took 70 students a year, however the cost was 30,000 a year, yet because his needs could not be met in the public system, under the disability act the sate paid his tuition...And that changed his life and my families...This movie is very touching and when it came out it shined the light on kids and adults that were very intelligent but were very different and needed to be educated in different way. At 5 my son was learning on a 4th grade level. Stil, he struggles and always will but has been able to have a very loving and enriching life. This is such a beautiful movie. Thank you for sharing ...Love y'all!! xoxo

This is a great movie that always gets me. I saw it with my brother a few months before my brother took his life, and that makes it even harder to watch. Dustin Hoffman is a great actor! You all need to watch Papillon (1973), Marathon Man (1976), and Tootsie (1982); he has been in so many great movies.

Eddie Perkins

Got me thinking about other Dustin Hoffman movies that are very notable. Little Big Man (1970), Papillon (1973), Marathon Man (1976), All the President's Men (1976). And he was great in Meet the Fockers (2004) and the sequel Little Fockers (2010).

The various looks on your faces while you watched this wonderful movie, said it all...heartfelt to the soul. It is a movie that truly sticks to your heart and soul. Honored to watch it again with you.

Yes!

Yes, gothic horror! And then. Amber, watch the TV series "Interview with the Vampire"- 2022. Season 2 wrapped up this year with Season 3 to come out 2025. I think it is even better than the movie with so many powerful scenes. It is an epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality. You won't be disappointed.

Such a great movie. Loved watching you guys react to it. Dustin Hoffman is an amazing actor. For a great comedy watch him in Tootsie. Or for a fun family adventure film check him out in Hook. You'll love both of them.

This movie really TAUGHT people too...So much was not spoken about when it came to people with minds like Raymond, and how they absolutely did feel emotions/love/friendship....So at the time that the movie came out, it had a great effect of teaching people that Raymond was a person too...who could love/care about his brother. (The forehead touch was SO WONDERFUL:) Glad that you both watched it..it really is an important movie for people to see. I could see the concern in both of your faces during the movie for Raymond, and was glad that you saw that he did understand Charlie's love for him. That is real love., period.

BRENDA

Glad to see you guys react to this one. Well deserved Academy Award winner.

Carl Evans

With October around the corner (and Tom Cruise on the screen) would be great if you’d watch ‘Interview With The Vampire’ for your Halloween picks.

Patty Estrada

Good acting by all in this movie! The Graduate his first film is a must see
