Some Art and PC Updates

Ever wondered what Shep looks like without his sunglasses on?
Don't worry. He will have them back on for the final draft, due out this Sunday!!!
And now that I've proven that I can still draw, here is the 1st basic concept piece!
If you cant make sense of it that's fine (it's truly disgusting to look at). As always I spend about 1 minuet on a draft to see if things are positioned in an appealing way before I start the actual sketch-work which I showed a sample of in the previous post!
I also decided it was time to upgrade my PC. Not a fan of CS6 crashing on me as I'm trying to draw this stuff and my current specs are as follows.
As you can see, I can barley run pong at 5 fps!... I occasionally have to get a crank out to it wind back up.
But no more! I have invested in an all new machine which I will show off in a later post!

2023-07-22 21:22:11 +0000 UTCMine is also a little over 8 years old now but it certainly wasn't cutting edge even back then (upgraded the ram and moved to an SSD since but its certainly no gaming machine). My new machine should be quite fun to show off once everything is set up with newer versions of all my art software to boot! The 1 min doodle only has one purpose. To assure me things are placed in a manor that allows the best view of all the actions for a single scene. If it fails to capture what my mind was going for then I either add other points of interest in the available space or its dumped for something else with no real time sacrifice. After that its just a light reference for the actual 1st pencil draft which is far more detailed.

2023-07-22 12:21:48 +0000 UTCTrust me, I can totally make sense of that sketch because my own rough sketches are equally as, erm, rough! Looking great so far! I'm impressed it just takes you 1 minute: I'm so picky I sometimes restart them over and over again because of perspective/anatomy issues, or simply because it doesn't look like what I have in mind, and it ends up taking me up to 1 hour sometimes... It's weird that your PC can't run CS6...Do you have a graphic card as well? I've been using the same laptop for the past 8 years (photoshop, blender, krita), and while it's a bit slow it does the job: your rig seems way more powerful than mine. EDIT : nevermind, just realized that your current CPU is not that powerful. I'm curious to see what your new machine will be! :)
