Early access for Beastborne: Mist Wardens is here!

Here’s how it works: From now until June 1st, 2021 this post will remain up for any Patron Iron-Tier and higher to grab an early copy of Beastborne: Mist Wardens.

The book comes in two major formats .mobi and .epub. Both should be readable by any standard ereader. They're down at the bottom of the post under attachments, just click and download it, then plop it on your favorite ereader!

Once June 1st rolls around, I’ll have to take the post down due to its exclusivity with Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited program. Afterward, just PM me on Patreon if you missed the window and I’ll get you sorted out.

I’ll be unlocking all the chapters for Beastborne Book 3 as well. 

This page will be updated when the book goes live with the link to the book in case anybody also wants to super generous and purchase the book through Amazon.

I hope that each of you who have enjoyed Beastborne Chronicles will take the extra few seconds to leave an honest review once the book is live as reviews are perhaps the largest contributor to a book’s success.

A quick note on how Amazon does their star system:

For reasons I assume only make sense to Amazon, anything below a 4-star rating is considered “bad” in terms of their ranking and algorithm. A 3-star rating, actually hurts an author versus leaving no rating at all.

Normal people, myself included, usually think of a 5-star as amazing, a 4-star as good, and a 3-star as decent but not earth-shattering.

I would read a full series of 3-starred books no problem.

The issue is Amazon thinks that you should be rating a “decent” book as 5 stars. Here’s an excerpt of their rationale:

Here is what each of those star ratings mean:

• 5: you enjoyed this book in the way that it was meant (has the expected tropes, themes, etc.)

• 4: you generally liked the book but you have at least one major issue with the book and it detracted from your enjoyment (lots of repetition in the writing, a major plot hole, far too many typos, etc.)

• 3: a novel you neither liked nor disliked—you didn’t care if you finished it or not. You might read it if you were stuck on a desert island and this was all you had… then again, you might use it for TP instead.  Because some advertisers and listing services don’t allow 3-star books, consider leaving no review out of apathy and sympathy. This review hurts an author’s rating.

• 2: the novel is plagued by multiple, serious issues and you want to prevent others from suffering in an attempt to read this book. There are typos on practically each page (lack of editing,) serious inconsistencies, or a glaring lack of research. There was a plot, characters, and setting, but you didn’t really enjoy it.

• 1: a colossal failure. You hate this book so much that it keeps you up at night—there was no plot. Don’t leave a 1 star review unless you truly feel the author should never write again—this is not the appropriate review to leave if you bought a romance that you thought was a “Clean Christian romance” from the cover/title but it actually turned out to be an Amish bodice ripper.

Bear in mind, this applies to all books on the entire marketplace. Just a little PSA in order to help people out when you're rating your next read. Knowing this could make a huge difference to any of your favorite authors (myself included)!
