Mod List Checker Template Update + Announcements
Added 2024-10-31 18:23:36 +0000 UTCMod List Checker Template Update
I’ve updated the Mod List Checker template to V2.
It took me a little longer to release this than I wanted to because of the patch, my shoulder issues (I re-aggravated it a few days ago), and I wanted to make sure I applied all the fixes and features that I wanted to.
The following changes were applied to the Mod List Checker template:
Added Latest Changes sheet – Orders the mods you check by the date the status was changed (most recent changes will be listed first).
Added the following filter views to the Mod List Checker sheet:
Sort by Creator
Sort by Last Status Change
Sort by Mod Name
To select one of the filter views above, while in the Mod List Checker tab go to Data > Change view. Any view you select will also apply to the rest of your sheets (My Mods, Broken/Obsolete, Updated, etc).
Edited the notes at the top of the template to be more clear, plus added more info.
Removed the Importing & Info sheet, directions are on The Mod List Checker page.
Additional minor tweaks and fixes.
Copy Your Selected Mods to V2
For those of you that aren’t familiar with google sheets, follow the instructions below that explains how to copy your selected mods from the old template to the new one (I’ll put up better instructions in the next couple days):
Make a copy of Scarlet’s Mod List Checker V2 (if you haven’t already)
In your old (current) google sheet:
Press Ctrl + J and enter A3:A in the Name box (upper left) and press Enter. This selects all the checkboxes in column A.
Press Ctrl + C (Copy)
In your new google sheet (V2):
Select the first checkbox in column A (should be cell A3)
Press Ctrl + V (Paste)
That will paste all of your checks into your new template. If you need help with this, feel free to ask in my discord channel (info + link at the bottom of this post)

Mod List Checker Common Issues
I’ve noticed several people having issues with getting it to work. It works perfectly fine IF you follow my instructions.
One issue is because some of you aren’t selecting the ➕ box before importing. You only have to SELECT it, it’s not a button or anything you have to edit. Just SELECT the box (one click), then import your CSV. Do not import unless that box is selected.
Another common issue includes different mods showing when you import a new CSV. This happens if you sort, delete, or move columns and rows. Mods must STAY in the order that they’re imported, otherwise the system will not work.
That’s why it’s important to read everything before you use it. I’ve had a warning that would prevent both of these issues on the Mod Checker page as well as the template since I released it last week.
I’ll add a more Common Issues/Solutions and possibly a FAQ section in the next week or so.

New Mod Reports
I’ve been receiving an EXCESSIVE amount of new mod submissions for mods that have been in the Mod List since day ONE.
I appreciate the submissions, but it’s getting so bad that I’m considering removing the form from public submissions. I don’t want to do that though. So PLEASE, before you submit a mod, use the search box in the list to make sure it’s not already there. It only takes seconds.
Gentle reminder (this tip is also above all Mod List editions as well):
Do NOT hit “Enter” when using the search box! Doing so clears & resets the search. Just start typing what you want to search for and the results will automatically show (it may take a few seconds if site traffic is heavy).
I understand some mods are named differently than what you may search for, that’s ok! However, pretty much all of them are submitted the same exact way they’re listed in the list.
Additionally, I’ve been getting a lot of CC submissions which I don’t track and it says so in the guidelines. So please be sure to READ the guidelines in the form before submitting.

New Discord Channels in Sims After Dark
My friends in Sims After Dark (SaD) were kind enough to add support channels for me:
#scarlet-modlist-support – Use this channel if you have any issues with the Mod List, Mod List Checker, or website that you’d like to report or receive help with.
#scarlet-chat – Use this channel for any feedback or suggestions you have for me.
These channels can be found in the new Scarlet’s Realm category in the Sims After Dark discord. If I don’t answer you, someone else will. This is the best and quickest way to get help for anything related to Scarlet’s Realm.

I did select that and the file was imported, I will ask about it there, thank you. :)

2024-11-20 18:21:21 +0000 UTCIt sounds like you're not selecting the ➕ box before importing. You're welcome to visit #scarlet-modlist-support in SaD and I or someone else can help you.

2024-11-20 17:14:52 +0000 UTCSadly whatever I do (I deleted browser's all history, tried other browser too, I deleted CSV and redownload etc) after I import the CSV every line says in column A: "INVALID: The cell content violates the check rule" and I can't select them

2024-10-31 23:00:42 +0000 UTCIt's not supposed to be clickable: "You only have to SELECT it, it’s not a button or anything you have to edit. " Make sure to read instructions carefully.

2024-10-31 22:32:04 +0000 UTCThe plus sign isn't clickable. When I click the + it makes it as if I want to edit it
