No, he's not trying to be Jesus :-). My theory is that Loki created his version of the Norse knockoff of the Tree of Life (which they call Yggdrassil) because that's what he knows. When he realized he had to blow up the Loom and sacrifice himself to keep the timelines together, his mind created something he could understand. I guess this would be more like the Tree of Time, but that's where he is, and he has to stay there forever or else everything ends. Renslayer got pruned to the end of time, like Loki did in Season 1. That light has to be Alioth, the Time Smoke Monster thing that He Who Remains set to guard the entrance to his headquarters. If Renslayer lives long enough, she could find her way around Alioth and get to He Who Remains. If she does, I suspect it won't be a happy reunion after he wiped out her memory instead of keeping his promise to have her rule with him. I'm pretty sure they'll deal with that in upcoming MCU movies since Kang is the new Thanos and every movie will connect to all this crazy time mess somehow. I enjoyed this series, but I agree with you that there doesn't need to be a Season 3. This was the ending Loki needed. Ironically, he evolved past needing a throne and then got one.
