Patreon Changes

Heya gang, it's your rowdy deer here. This past month has been a little rough for me due to some workplace drama and a close COVID encounter that some of you may or may not have heard about.

However, we're still going strong but with a new year we felt it appropriate to apply some changes to our patreon benefits/goals.

We've decided to change the date for the patreon builds. No longer will they be 1 week ahead of the public build, they will instead be 1 month ahead of the public build. The reason for this is to enable us to only have one deadline to be meeting with working on each build as well as extending the time spent with a particular build before pushing it out to the public. That said, we don't exactly have a clear method of synchronizing the schedule for this update...

So this is also doubling as a small announcement that we'll be delaying the patreon build by a week to get our new schedule straightened out. (Which when we post the public build, we'll be announcing to our non-patrons that the public build will be delayed by a whole month.) This'll hopefully be a one time situation, I don't like delaying the build like this, but it was the best compromise I could think of.

Lastly we've also changed to an upfront charging system. We weren't charging upfront before, but it was made aware to me how easily abused the previous system was. Enabling less honest individuals to join once the build had been released and then quit after downloading without donating a dime to the cause. Those of you already supporting shouldn't see any differences in this change.

Anyway, I hope y'all are keeping to your New Year's Resolutions. I've only gone running once and I haven't stopped eating Panda Express... but there's always February to start one habit and kick another. See you all in a little over a week with the next build. <3
