Sales Tax: Defused Bomb?

One of my first thoughts this month was to check the new sales tax.
Patreon gives us a detailed report of taxes paid to each country and state (without any personal information, just the total taxes).
Apparently, according to how I've set the benefits of the tiers, taxes in the US were basically nonexistent.
Only a few cents came from New Mexico, but there are many of you who are from the US.
Then, some taxes were paid from other taxes outside of the EU and the US, but they're way less than I was expecting as well.
What's been your experience?
Did this new sales tax bother you, or did you barely notice it?
