Yahoo & ESPN Points Leagues: Beast Mode and H2H Matchup Planner

Hey everyone,

The Beast Mode and H2H Matchup Planner tools are now available on your premium dashboard for Yahoo and ESPN points leagues.

Beast Mode is a tool that lets you compare your tallied scores against your opponents to see how you compare for any week of the season.

The H2H Matchup Planner tries to predict the outcome of a matchup to help let you know how many more points you need to add to beat your opponent, and where there's space on your roster to add them.

Tips on using the H2H Matchup Planner

Days already played: Tick the days as they've been completed. This tells the tool to ignore the projections for the completed days, and to instead use the data from your Yahoo/ESPN scoreboard matchup. In general, you should always leave Sunday unticked.

Opponent: Select your opponent for the week.

Before: Scoreboard data since you last updated it using the update scoreboard from Yahoo/ESPN button.

After: The projected scoreboard, which is the current scoreboard + selected projected games.

What the buttons do

Update scoreboard: This is the button you click to updated the projected "after" score. This is done when you've made changes to which players are and aren't playing (which I'll run through soon).

Update roster data: This refreshes the players on each roster. Keep in mind that this will change selections you've made.

Update scoreboard from Yahoo/ESPN: This will update the "before" scoreboard data. ESPN's scoreboard data feed only updates after games have been played.

Note: After you've made changes (by unselecting and selecting specific players on specific days) you'll need to click the update scoreboard button for those changes to impact the "after" projected scoreboard.

Selecting players

The "after" projected score is based on a calculation of your current score + the scores of the selected players. If you know a player isn't playing, or they aren't playing due to roster limits, unselect them from your and your opponents roster, and click the update scoreboard button for an updated "after" tally.

You can also add players to your roster to see what kind of impact adding them will have on your matchup. Added players have the "X" delete option to remove them from your roster.
