Some tips on getting through the NBA trade deadline
Added 2023-02-06 00:17:30 +0000 UTCWe're approaching our first trade deadline where blue checkmarks on Twitter can be purchased by anybody, so be careful, and make sure the news you read on Twitter is actually from reputable people, and not fake accounts or accounts from people who are chasing likes and re-tweets.
Here are some tips to get you through the trade deadline:
- Switch notifications on for https://twitter.com/wojespn and https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania
- If you have some spare transactions today, and you wanna stash some players, use them so they don't count towards next week's transactions.
- Identify the players on your roster you're willing to part ways with now so that when you see a notification coming through you're able to react quickly.
- Keep enough transactions up your sleeve to react to trades.
- Try not to read too much into trade rumors from blogging networks. This is silly season for them where anything related to trades pulls in huge numbers, so they'll be throwing a lot of junk out there to get traffic to their websites.
- Don't stress if you miss out on adding somebody.
- If players with value are available to add, and they don't fit your team structure, you can always add and trade them later. Valuable players are always valuable to somebody.
