Early preview of my updated fantasy basketball dynasty rankings

I've been working for a while now on tweaking my dynasty rankings model to make it easier to maintain and update more regularly, and I'm wanting to get your feedback on how you feel like it's valuing older players like Steph, Harden, KD etc.
I've put the updated model on a hidden page for you to access.
I'm still yet to update the player comments and teams players are on, but the model is factoring in players on their new team.

Sounds like giving people the option to use either the 3 or 5 year model might be the best option. FWIW Chet is below Steph in the 3 year model.

2023-07-09 01:27:27 +0000 UTCI'm referring to the linked in the OP, where Chet is 19 and Steph is 30 and KD is 31. It comes down to risk assessment IMO. I would wager there is a MUCH higher certainty that Steph and KD will do what they do over that next 5 year horizon, vs an unproven/under developed big turning into a perennial top 10 player like they have been. I just don't agree that Wemby/Chet are gonna come in and dominate the league, at least for a few years. Hell it took Giannis (obviously much lower initial prospect but same physical tools) 4-5 years to reach the top 20 stratosphere we're talking about.

2023-07-09 01:01:33 +0000 UTCI was thinking of either adding a forecast year factor (the new model is set to 5 years, but I can also add a 3 year option like the previous model uses) or modifying the age scaling on the contending list.

2023-07-08 19:49:12 +0000 UTCNo one right answer. It would add value to have 10 and 12 team values showing. In the league I'm in we don't keep 100% of players and so older players are more useful once the rookies/youngsters are properly valued.
