Hashtag Basketball projections update (Notebook drop)

Hey everybody - I hope you're all enjoying an awesome holiday break! I've finally recovered from eating my own body weight in food, and ready to write up the latest notebook drop.

Here's the main changes that have taken place:

Brooklyn Nets:

This team is a mess right now, and Mikal Bridges is averaging 15.6 points on 37.2% from the field over the last 2 weeks. Throw some feelers out there if you want to try and get yourself a bargain. Spencer Dinwiddie gets a shooting and scoring adjustment (not the good kind) as he continues to struggle.

Boston Celtics:

Derrick White continues playing like a top-30 player and is currently shooting career highs in both FG% and FT%. He gets another bump. Sam Hauser‘s streakiness continues, and he’s now shooting sub-40% over the last month. Jrue Holiday has settled into his role in Boston, averaging 2.4 3PM (at 51.8%) over the last 12 games.

Chicago Bulls:

Andre Drummond is a streamer when Nikola Vucevic is out, but don’t drop anybody with long-term value for him.

Cleveland Cavaliers:

Cleveland has managed to field their healthy starting 5 for 11 games of this 30 game season, so they continue to provide streaming value as guys fill in for injured starters.

Detroit Pistons:

Ausar Thompson isn’t playing like the same player to start the season. Over his last 13 games all of his effort stats are down (1.4 offensive rebounds, down from his average of 2.5), and his steals and blocks are down, from 0.6 and 0.4 over the last 30 days, compared to his averages of 0.9 and 1.1. His projections have been adjusted.

Los Angeles Clippers:

The James Harden honeymoon period continues. Have upped his scoring.

Los Angeles Lakers:

D'Angelo Russell moving to a bench role just about makes him droppable in a 12 team league.

Miami Heat:

Jaime Jaquez Jr is averaging 17 points and 5 rebounds in 7 games that Jimmy Butler has missed. He’s still only rostered in 63% of Yahoo leagues.

Sacramento Kings:

Keegan Murray gets a usage boost after being a top-60 player over the last 2 weeks, and Kevin Huerter gets a drop in minutes.

Toronto Raptors:

Is this the start of the Scottie Barnes at point guard era? Watch this space. Dennis Schröder also gets an overdue adjustment as he gets moved to the bench.

Chat soon,
Joey
