Hashtag Basketball projections update (Notebook drop)

Hey all - we’re starting to hit that part of the seasons where projections are kinda stable, so most of the movement is based on injuries and playing time changes, but here are the main changes that have happened over the past week.

Atlanta Hawks:

Is Jalen Johnson Atlanta’s second-best fantasy player? In his last 6 games he has averaged 17 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 56.1% and 87.3% shooting splits. Have upped his projections across the board a little more. Dejounte Murray hasn’t tallied a steal in his last 4 games. Have lowered his steals a touch.

Brooklyn Nets:

We’ve entered the past of the season where Cam Thomas stops playing big minutes. In the last 8 games he has averaged 11.5 points playing 20.6 minutes. I’ve lowered his minutes down to 24 minutes for now. Have also lowered Spencer Dinwiddie‘s minutes even more (down to 29 minutes).

Cleveland Cavaliers:

Jarrett Allen continues to be on a tear with Mobley sidelined. He’s now averaging 16.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 15 games without Mobley in the lineup. Have upped his projections until Mobley returns.

Golden State Warriors:

Minutes wise, the Chris Paul injury is cancelled out by Draymond Green returning from suspension, and it allows them to play players in their natural positions.

Indiana Pacers:

Tyrese Haliburton‘s steals are starting to ramp up again, averaging 2 per-game over his last 7 games. Have upped his steals projection.

Minnesota Timberwolves:

Fun fact - Anthony Edwards is shooting 47.5% from the field over the last 30 days. He’s also ranked the 15th best player in 9-cat over the same period.

Orlando Magic:

Paolo Banchero is in beast mode. In 2 games with Franz injured, he has averaged 33.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 7.5 assists. Have temporarily upped his projections until we get a return date for Wagner. Have also upped Caleb Houstan‘s minutes since he’s currently spot-starting.

Toronto Raptors:

I updated my projections and dynasty rankings last week after the Knicks-Raptors trade, and had Immanuel Quickley as the clear winner of the trade. He’s currently averaging 17.3 points and 6.5 assists as a Raptor, and there’s no reason why that isn’t sustainable. It does mean that our one-week trial of Scottie Barnes starting at PG has come to an end. Don’t be alarmed by Barnes’ numbers over the last 7 days since it’s heavily skewed by his 6-2-3 game against Golden State last night.

Chat soon,
Joey

Do you have any thoughts on adjustments to Tobias Harris' projections for the season? It seems he has been performing over expectations almost unilaterally
