The actor playing Dean's grandmother is a well-respected veteran actor in Thailand, and this was Ohm's (Dean's actor's) first bigger role, so you can see in some behind the scenes stuff that he was really really nervous! He definitely managed to pull it off though, it's actually one of the most memorable scenes of the series for me

2023-04-03 08:05:10 +0000 UTCThe scene with the grandma is really well acted by both actors. The way you see how traumatised she was after losing her brother in such a brutal way was heartbreaking. And her asking if Dean is okay, if He's tired or in pain, she's so scared it would happen again. And Dean understands and immediately promises her that he won't leave. It is such a very well done scene and one I thought about a lot after watching the episode. Like you said, the thing with the lotus petal wrapping being introduced at the beginning of the episode and then showed in the flashbacks was a great way to foreshadow the meeting with the grandma. That Team and Win scene hits different after watching a few episodes of Between us. I definitely felt different rewatching it now.
