A camera that can see wifi

It's been a few years since our last radio project. We decided that we wanted to pick up where we left off on our passive radar journey, so first things first we needed a new radio telescope. Cogsworth, the one I built many years ago, was... a piece of shit. So we started from scratch and built XJ-9. It took a little finagling but we're back to where we left off, and now can work on the actually hard parts, like seeing through walls or 3d mapping an area.

And don't miss out on the new merch designs and coupon code!

Still waiting on the sponsor to sign off, so the link may change.

Have you played around with using USB WiFi dongles (esp. MT76 chipset based ones) instead? When running those in monitor mode on Linux, you can just get a super nice stream of packets, including all the WiFi SSIDs, MAC addresses and the RSSI to go along with that. That would make for a much nicer image and you could also directly include the SSID of the WiFi into the picture.
