Magnus Mid Season Break and Stretch Goals Update

Wishing you all the very best for the coming week from all of us at Rusty Towers.

A massive thank you to everyone who listened to The Magnus Protocol 40 last week – we are so glad that you enjoyed the episode. It is one that we are incredibly proud of, and a huge congratulations is in order for our incredible cast as well as the production team who came together to create a truly horrifying, captivating climax to the first part of the season.

As we mentioned last week, The Magnus Protocol will now be on a short break to ensure that our production team has plenty of time to work on the show without experiencing crunch. For season 2, these breaks between Acts may be a little longer and more irregular as we balance staff workloads and prep for our full stage performance of Magnus Live: The Hilltop. If you’re a person who prefers to binge-listen, now is your time to catch up with all of the horrors so far in season 2.

The Magnus Protocol will return in Summer 2025.

As well as working producing the main show, we’re also hard at work behind the scenes on a number of things related to the Kickstarter and stretch goals.

This includes, of course, Magnus Live: The Hilltop, our theatrical show that’s taking place in London in October and November this year. Writing has been completed on the script and production is now in full swing. The very first table read has been held with cast members, key props and costumes are being procured and we are well into planning for set-design and lighting.

Some of other stretch goal items we’re currently working on include ambiance tracks for season one, which are scheduled to be available later this year, both publicly on YouTube and ad-free to those at appropriate tiers, as well as The Magnus Retrospective, where Shahan Hamza, Lowri Ann Davies and Harlan Guthrie (the incredible writer behind MAGP 23 – A New You, cosmic horror podcast Malevolent, Dungeons and Dragons show Dice Shame, and sci-fi series Deviser) listen to The Magnus Archives for the first time together. We’ll let you know about the release plans for this closer to the time!

Then we have our 10th anniversary events, including the evening at The Lowry with Alex and Jonny, an MCM Panel, and a charity livestream, as well as the amazing shows we have upcoming for the Neon Inkwell feed.

All this is to say that while the feed may be quiet, Rusty Towers is still a hive of activity as we prep for the rest of 2025 – and it’s looking really exciting.
