Deep drops and fire-side frights

Hi folks,

It is hard to believe that after this week, we will have officially released 50 episodes of The Magnus Protocol! We’ll be celebrating this milestone – and the end of act 2 of season 2 – by hosting a live listen here on Patreon. Knights and Nobles will be able to join us two hours after the usual early access release at 6pm on Tuesday 2nd September to listen to the episode and discuss it with the rest of the community and members of RQ cast and crew!

As always, if you’re joining us, we just ask that you refrain from sharing spoilers in the chat if you listen to the episode in advance – the live listens are always a fun, friendly atmosphere with a mixture of folks who are listening for the first time, and those who listened to the early access release at 4pm BST. These are always a massive highlight – there’s no better way to enjoy an episode than surrounded by other people in the community. We hope to see you there!

Meanwhile, in episode 50 of The Magnus Protocol, it’s time to go deep. As always, the episode will be available to our early access supporters on Tuesday at 4pm BST, or on the public feed on Thursday at 4pm BST. 

As previously mentioned, after this week’s episode, there will be a break on the feed before Act 3. The Magnus Protocol will return in 2026. In the meantime, we will be releasing our official 6-episode spin-off, Sheeple Chase, written by Sasha Sienna and directed by April Sumner, as well as a new series coming soon to Neon Inkwell.

Finally, in news from the RQ Network, today we’re very pleased to announce a brand-new show coming from the creators of [REDACTED], The Cellar Letters and The Grotto. Frights by Fire is a weekly, community-driven horror anthology. Join hosts, Johnathan and Jamie, as well as special guests, as they read horror stories written by their audience. These readings, which were originally hosted live on Twitch, are now enhanced with immersive sound design and available to revisit wherever you find podcasts, or on the Rusty Quill website. The first two episodes are out now!
