1.6 so far

I finished Year 1 playing the 1.6 update, its summer 1st of year 2 and I have managed to meet Kent and reach Ginger island. (I am yet to reach the endgame quests gated behind the Golden Nuts)

So far... well.
There are some new things here and there, some cool new quality of life features, but as for content goes, I fear mods still get the upper hand.
I do recommend users to keep playing on 1.5.6 unti the mods get their propper updates.

I am finding out that some frameworks will get obsolette for 1.6, and thats what I dreaded most. (Dynamic game assets for example.)
Haven´t checked what was the fate of PyTk yet, but depending on all of that, its the parts I will need to butcher to be able to update my mods.

I have seen some new frameworks I like to try, but it still too early to decide weather to use them (Stardew 1.6 has been out for what? 12 days?).

Oh btw!, I found out that the game has a new feature called "Seasonal Outfits" to be specific :
EVERY NPC has a new portrait AND sprite set for winter, and thats vanilla now. So thats a lot of more spritework for replacers that I didn´t expect. Added it to the list*

Regardless of all the chaos with mods and the increasing workload, I am enjoying my time time with the update. Stardew is a fun and relaxing game (Whenever you are not pressured to complete a timed special quest in time :´) )

One of the important things I have been thinking, Is to re-locate the frat house elsewhere. Having our own part of the Valley, with outside locations.

There is a TON new ideas I have since 1.6 launched. But I might go slow on this one until I start the updating process.
Eitherway, I will share to you all the updates, dates, ideas and more whenever I start the conversion process.

And sorry to post the update this day, you know, for the Aprils fool thing going on. (This is legit btw, not a Fake update for laughs)

I made a 1.6 discord channel where we share our experiences about the update, feel free to join in if you like to share or see. Also, the support channel still works for 1.5.6 content, until I decide to cut support for it in the future. (Since 1.6 support will be the way to go moving forward).

Wow thats a really odd bug with Content Patcher Animations hopefully they patch that soon, and don't feel rushed at all, take your time and finish exploring the new update and what not

Thats a very nice recommendation!, And it was released post 1.6 (Meaning it specializes on it). Right now, I used DGA for some animations that can be re-implemented by Content patcher Animations. CPA does have a bug on 1.6 that prevent the animations to play if the users are not playing in "English" language. So, I am waiting for more updates before choosing wich framework I will go with. I pinned Calcifer as a plan B for furniture items tho. Always love to see new tools :D

Hey man, happy you've had some great new ideas, on the topic of DGA no longer working with 1.6 I think some of the other mods I use that had DGA as a dependency before 1.6 uses Calcifer by sophiesalacia if you want a possible recommendation for something to look into
