Despite everything, Today has been a damn good day (2nd Milestone State of the Basement Address)

Things that happened today that I don't want to dwell on:

I got a copyright strike on a video that's very plainly Fair Use, which sucks. On the other hand...

things that have happened today that make me wanna dance:

Mother's basement reached 30k subscribers. That's a pretty freakin huge milestone. We're almost a full third of the way to 100k and the silver play button. And considering that it's been just 9 months since the channel launched, That's kinda extra crazy. Over 3,000 subscribers a month is nothing to sneeze at.

Also, we broke our second Milestone goal today thanks to a big push of new patrons (hi to all the newcomers, by the way! Glad to have you aboard!) It's been barely over a week since I launched this campaign, and every time I look at this page I'm blown away by all of your support.

Even those of you who can't or don't want to pledge for whatever reason, the positivity and kindness you all send my way is what gets me up in the morning (or at least in a morning-adjacent time frame. I pull a lot of late night shifts). through the good times and the bad (and today has been a weird mix of both) I'm constantly reminded of how lucky I am to have such an awesome, supportive group of fans. I fucking love all of you.

Now, as for what's next in this campaign - at 500 dollars a month, I'm gonna be able to reliably hire out a bit of freelance art and music each month, as well as a bit of editing help. that will hopefully allow me to do some cool shit in future videos, as well as make, on average, one extra video each month.

From here on up, I'm gonna be able to start saving a significant portion of what you all donate every month, which will allow me to invest in big projects, computer upgrades to make video rendering faster, and even occasional trips out to Conventions where I'll be able to see all your beautiful faces and give you the hugs you so richly deserve (assuming everyone's into that and nobody has a cold).

And even though I REALLY want to blow it all on nendoroids, I promise I won't blow it all on nendoroids.
