Why SAO is a Worse Video Game than it is an anime

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last month - the trip to japan kept me preeeetty busy, and a lot of the rest of my time has been spent working on content. I know I missed putting up a video last week, but hopefully this 40 minute teardown of the game design in SAO will make up for that a bit!

I'm gonna probably sound stupid but... What if the release of SAO was actually the open beta, I mean closed beta already happened, it could be possible that it was time for the open beta... I mean 30k sold would be a failure of epic proportion after all.

2016-12-19 00:04:26 +0000 UTCYou know, to be fair with the skill system. Ashron's Call and Ultima Online both used a grindy skill system like in SAO. Use this skill x amount of times, level it up. Before AC gave bonus skill points on level ups, it was the only way to level up skills.
