Radiohead - From the Basement Uncut Reaction

someone stabalize Thom´s head please

Comments

Please react to some of there older performances to see them young live in Astoria 1994 is really good cause it’s in HD

Dylan Rockwell

King of Limbs next, followed by the basement performance, then A Moon Shaped Pool. I think you'll enjoy all 3 of these, can't wait for your reaction!

Craig Pattison

For the most part, I prefer the album versions of these songs, especially Optimistic (I hate this rendition of it) except for Videotape. The Basement version of Videotape blows the album version away! I love the spacey sounds they add to it with the guitars which fits better with the rest of the songs on In Rainbows that I kind wish the album version had.

@19:03 That's en E-bow. ''The EBow, short for electronic bow or energy bow, is an electronic device used for playing string instruments, most often the electric guitar. The EBow uses a pickup and a magnetic feedback circuit to vibrate strings without touching them. Whereas guitars traditionally have fast attack and slow release, meaning notes ring immediately and then fade out, the EBow can sustain notes indefinitely and gives greater control over attack and decay. The EBow can only play one string at a time, but can be moved across the strings to play arpeggios.'' Two examples that come to mind: E-bow the letter by REM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cnIQHJ169s) and E bow by Sigur Ros (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN2__sAvYlc)

I’ve had the pleasure to see Radiohead 6 times live. And it always amazes me how good they are live. They are geniuses. And seen some side projects from Thom York atom for peace. The smile. All magic. There is a live cd recorded in Japan

Mr. Smiles is Ed O'brien 😊 Always famous for being the most outgoing and contact seeking. He is a lovely guy. Watch clips of him on YouTube when he talkes about his pedals. This recording is recorded in Nigel Goodridge place so there is no wonder it sounds great. It's unbelievable. I highly doubt Thom has any autotune.. Some of the other songs are from the disk two of In Rainbows, not known by everyone but very well worth checking out. Colin is the bass player and Jonny (Mr. I play everything and arrange strings and makes my own computer programs to program music). I have a feeling he put it as a little prank to his brother maybe? Remember that these guys have been playing together since their mid teens. They love each other and playing together so much. I am sure they will be back together soon, I mean how can you avoid playing in the most fun band in the world to play in. Thanks for an entertaining reaction. Oh, and go back and see Arpeggi, and see if you can spot Jonny sampling his guitar after the organ part and then feeding the sound out again... He is pure genius.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) especially after a long day it's a nice way to calm down. The atmosphere is just so relaxed

tamerail

I've been informed it exists for King of limbs so I'll do that, but if you know another very good performance of them let me know!

tamerail

I would love it if you would record another reaction to a Radiohead concert.

Perla

Oh, goodness me I look forward to this. This is the best live recording clip of all time and I love when people watch it that look for the details in how they play things and make the magic. This was exactly what I needed after a long day.

There is another From the Basement session for their next album The King Of Limbs that a lot of people consider to be better than the studio version
