NZ air traffic controller here who appreciates the shout out. Related the one KFC in my town is insanely popular to the point that it has drive through lines onto the road and hour long waits at 3pm on a Wednesday, let alone peak times. They closed for 6 months for refurbishment and people were driving 5 hour round trips to the nearest KFC. Genuinely baffling. It's a bit better here compared to the American KFC but not by much.

Hot honey is fucking delicious, Mike's hot honey is totally decent store bought hot honey, and they've done cross branding with actual restaurants that weren't ass ( Lou Malnati's Hot Honey Deepdish kicked ass) . But with this KFC nightmare it seems like a lot of locations didn't get hot honey and instead are just mixing buffalo with the honey they use for their biscuits, both of which suck. So Mike's is getting the priceless brand association of mid honey and Buffalo sauce slathered upon sub-mid fried chicken.
