Was nice rewatching this reaction. He said Clarke might be crazy in real life, that he needs to check on that 🤣

JL, thanks for the reaction. I know this one was a tough watch. Being that it's a true story, I feel its important for people to know about. This film actually makes me cry everytime, and the music score is pretty haunting. I feel Ericksons guilt. His regret for not doing more in saving her. That lady on the bus reminded him of her, he still carried that guilt with him all those years later, but her saying the bad dream is over now was like telling him let it go, the guilt. In reality his guilt has never stopped as he was ok with the making of the film bc he thought people should know the story but he refused to do any interviews bc it was too sad for him to speak to anyone. There are some interesting documentaries about the making of the film and facts about the story. I'll post below. Director Brian DePalmas "The Untouchables" did so well the studio told him he could film anything he wanted next, so he chose Casualties of War. He had tried getting it done for 2 decades with no success. So he figured this was the only way to get it made now. At the time people knew Fox as a comedic actor so they didn't give him a chance at drama when it came to box office ticket sales, and the subject matter was so dark people skipped it. For those who have seen it usually agree its a tough watch but a very good underrated film. An important film. Thanks for being the first channel to officially react to this movie. Also of note. This is Quenten Tarantinos favorite war film of all time and Brian DePalma one of his favorite directors. Another war film called Thin Red Line also has many actors from Casualties of War. Sean Penn, Clark. John C Reiley Supposedly Sean Penn stayed in character the entire shoot and refused to talk to Michael J Fox. When he was whispering in his ear at the end supposedly he told him "You're just a TV actor". https://youtu.be/DDX6fp8PxEY
