I like all the Brosnan Bond films, Moore and Craig are my least favorite though I haven't seen all the Moore films. In general, I have never enjoyed spoof movies, I think Airplane is the only one I have seen that I have liked, the kind of humor in most of them I don't enjoy, I tend to go with animated and family-friendly ones. {For example, I like Robin Williams when he is in something like Hook or Aladdin but I would never have gone to see a live show with how umm I think 'blue' is the term that they were. or I can't stand dumb and dumber or tnat kind of humor.] all of the Bond actors have had weaker films, even Sean Connery has 1 or 2 that are generally considered bad. I haven't seen all of his either as a kid is was always the same 3 or 4 films that came on TV with Sean or more back when only had 2 channels at my grandparents which is where I saw most of my Bond films until I got into college. Bronson is the only one where I like all the films that I have seen. The impact of powers on Bond films, if I remember what i read, comes from the family who controls the rights to james bond family of the guy who wrote the novels I think they wanted to distance Bond from these and keep Bond more serious or sophisticated or something like that its been 4 or 5 years since I read about it . ahh, well that's just the subjectivity of film.

2023-04-16 01:24:14 +0000 UTCPierce Brosnan’s run couldn’t have helped. Great Bond, but mostly beyond awful movies unfortunately. He deserved better. I'd take any of the three Austin Powers movies for entertainment value over 3/4 of the entirety of the James Bond series, but that's just me.
