My thought is that the wife and child were not Spock and his mom (Amanda?) but Sybok and his mom. Makes sense that xenophobic humans wouldn’t marry Vulcans

2022-03-20 13:51:34 +0000 UTCMy head canon for why Q named dropped “Yesterday’s Enterprise” was that Elnor says he read Picard’s autobiography, and that is a pretty good chapter title. But then I realized that Yesterday’s Enterprise ends with Picard having no knowledge of what occurred. So it only makes sense if Q is both consciously aware of our universe, where Star Trek is a TV show, and he says “Yesterday’s Enterprise” as a short hand so we know which variation of alternate reality we’re in this week…. But… does that mean Q was never playing games with Picard, he was actually playing games with me, the viewer at home?
