Meanwhile, Matt and Andy are surprised at how this episode moves from new scene to actual new scene and not just the previous scene again. Plus - the hug you've all been waiting 30 years to see! Or haven't been waiting 30 years to see.

The galactic level threat should’ve been introduced at the beginning of the first episode that the armada is heading toward which would then be intercepted by the Borg. It felt really last minute to introduce a galactic level threat toward the last half of the final episode. The whole season felt like scene after scene of restacking the plot points in order to push more emotional one on one scenes. I should’ve listened to the podcast episodes as I watched cause blah. I did not enjoy it.
2022-07-30 17:52:00 +0000 UTCSo I just rewatched the flute and piano duet between Picard and Cmd. Nella and it just reminded me how much they attempt to rush to create moments like on New Trek and how it is just not earned… and they just ignored it on this season of Picard…
