Hmm, I think this patron is very impatient, if it had only been a week! I certainly do understand impatience, I had to temporarily unsubscribe from another reactor cos they're doing a bazillion shows and can take well over a month to get to my preferred one. It had also occurred to me to think the same as this person - that they were doing it to get more money. At first I was irritated but then I thought, why shouldn't they? Isn't that why they are on Patreon in the first place? This one happens to be doing it as their main job and they're covering a wide variety of shows to appeal to a wider audience. My preferred show simply is not as popular as the others the reactor is doing. They have no responsibility to me, they have a responsibility to their whole audience. So what right have I to get pissy about it? So I didn't, I just temporarily left and I will return to them later. Most importantly, wishing you all the best with your health. Here's my take on Viewer entitlement. I have freely and voluntarily decided to donate to several YouTubers (mostly Buffy reactors), because I like what they do, and I want to support them, and I like the rewards... but I do not feel that they owe me anything whatsoever. I make the decision each month to continue my donation. IT IS A DONATION. Once I've given it, it's over and done with. If at any time, I no longer want to donate to someone, then I'll change that for next month. I may have a shitty attitude in some areas of my life, but I have managed to completely avoid the entitled thinking that we see from so many viewers. If you would like a Reactor to upload faster, you have several good options: 1. Wait patiently for the human person to do some hard work for your entertainment. 2. Go find some other reactor to watch. 3. Unsubscribe. 4. Get a life. Is this rocket surgery? It isn’t… is it?

You are the most incisive, attentive, engaged, empathetic, knowledgeable (a lot of your observations come from a well-tuned and educated knowledge of dramatic and story-telling structure) reactors I have watched. As I have noted several times I’ve the past couple of years, I am astonished how often you pick up on things in a first viewing that I didn’t put together until a second or third time through the series. That kind of attentiveness doesn’t come cheap, and it can’t be done if you are tired or distracted by real-life issues. I’ve occasionally felt bad in retrospect when I’ve provided some historical context within a comment and you’ve later mentioned it in a way that seemed as if you thought I or others with similar comments were telling you you had been doing it wrong, which is never how I meant it. You can sometimes bring the same vulnerability to comments that make your reactions so astonishing. Please don’t let the entitled assholes get you down. I most certainly have always gone with the philosophy that reaction videos are a come when the person can have the time to sit and relax and enjoy and react to them, so I have never tried to pressure anyone over them, and honestly the more I think of it, the more I think it must be someone young or highly immature who did so. That type of person is more apt to not think of how their actions affect others and be more impulsive and selfish and in the moment than anything. Whether that's the case and people liked such a comment for similar flippant reasons without thought, or if the original comment maker and others are just jerks with anger issues, it was insensitive, thoughtless, selfish, and rude and I'm sorry you have had to be hurt by such people. It sucks when people say or do hurtful things, no matter if they truly intent on being cruel or not. Just know that most of us support you and can happily wait for as long as you need to upload videos. Seriously, your health and life come first. I think it's best to try to put such comments and people out of your mind as best you can (I know WAY easier said than done...Trust me, I get it.). People like that who care only about themselves and don't seem to care at all about others, you don't want to give such people any power over how you feel or how you live your life. I tend to try to look at such people as if I can't respect them/their actions, then I can't respect them enough to let their opinions get to me too much. And it's hard to respect people who don't ever consider others' lives and feelings and what they might be going through. They either don't care or haven't had enough life experience to understand much. It does help to think like that. I hope you feel better and can move past this. Focus on the people who do care and support you, which far outnumber the assholes. Take care and I hope your health scare ends up just as that, a scare and not more. To start with- I'm sorry you're having health issues. That sounds scary and like a lot esp rn and I hope you have ppl around who can support you rn. Praying for the best for you. I've always felt you were open that you film when you can and when you are in the mood. You never set a schedule and I've always liked that you only film when you are in the place to. Like you said ppl are free to leave if they don't like that situation. People can sometimes just be cynical- and like to feel they can make sense of the world and perhaps with so many ppl now making an income from online stuff they will assume money motivation and cynicism is their default. That's nothing you have done to inspire that it's about them. I think ppl can struggle with the relationship of feeling like you're watching tv with a friend but then realising you are also strangers in a form of 'commercial' relationship and they swing back and forth between assuming the best and worst of each of those relationship scale points. Online world can just be tricky like that, it's easy to try and make the world simple and not consider ppl have lives v much outside of it that do not involve you. I hope all your health stuff comes good and you've got a good support system around you. (Also I feel the need to say even if you were stretching it out that would be your right. Patreon is a way to support creators, the way you 'manage' that is entirely up to you- ppl have the choice to support or not.) I remember for the longest time, I did 4 Buffyverse a week and then when I came to I think, the last season of Buffy, I changed it to 3 a week instead and I remember somebody doing exactly the same in telling me I was stretching out content to keep the money going. I was really upset tbh. I mean, you don't advertise your Patreon. You've never made yourself a schedule and yet somebody feels entitled to content they don't have. (They're clearly not a Patron as they've posted this on YouTube instead of Patreon). You're completely fine Liam, Take all the time you want to finish a show.
