⚠️ UPCOMING CHANGES: Billing and Rewards

I wanted to share an important update about Patreon.
Starting in November 2024, all creators must switch to subscription billing. Although we can delay this change, all other billing models will be discontinued in November 2025. If we delay, new members won’t be able to join via the iOS App starting next month, so I’ve decided to switch now.
Here’s a quick summary of the upcoming changes:
1) BILLING METHOD:
New Members: Charged on the day they join, then monthly on that same date.
Existing Members: No changes. You’ll still be charged on the 1st of every month unless you cancel and resubscribe.
2) iOS APP NEW FEE:
New Members: Starting in November, there will be a 30% App store fee for new memberships in the iOS app. I recommend using Web/Android to avoid this fee.
Existing Members: Even if you joined using iOS, you won’t be affected by this fee.
3) REWARD TIMELINES
⚠️ From now on, I’ve decided that rewards will be sent on the 1st of the following month instead of at the end of the month
Why? For example, if I send rewards on the 26th and some payments are processed on the 30th, I need to ensure that I don’t send rewards to those subscribers before confirming their payments. To simplify the process and send all rewards at once, I’ve decided that it’s better to send everything on the 1st.
