I painted this approximately 84 years ago as the cover art for THE EPIC FIC, an absolutely massive project undertaken by something like eighty goblins from /r/GoodOmensAfterDark, organized by Kotias, for Soggy Fritter, who requested a loooooooooooooong fic featuring monsterfuckery.

Well, things got a little out of hand and somehow we got together 35 writers, 31 artists, and several more folks that did both, to write an epic saga of Crowley (the Star Snek pictured below at the time of creation) and Aziraphale inexplicably drawn together throughout the ages, in many different forms and settings.

It is posting now on AO3 (rated Explicit), and the first two chapters of Part 1 are up now. Buckle in because this one is gonna be a long ass ride. This fic is seriously epic in scale.

On a personal, artistic note, I must give credit to the artist that unwittingly taught me everything I know about painting outer space, Gary Tonge. I’ve been a fan of Gary’s work for a long, long time, and painting this piece felt a bit like an homage to his work.
