I hope it gets nominated for many awards - that way the Star Wars/Disney bosses will be more inclined to try different things like this. The plan was always for 2 seasons. Season 2 is scheduled for 2024. It will once again be 12 episodes - 4 arcs or 3 episodes each, spanning 1 year each arc - taking us right up to Rogue One. Snax's quote of the season: "I would honestly be open to seeing actual manslaughter by the empire" LOL Do not worry, "you know we love you/your reactions more than anything you can do/say wrong" 😁
