But it's just that for some reason, I was absolutely convinced that you were going to cosplay Caitlyn ๐ค And that's not even a character I particularly want to see personally. You know which characters I really want to see, Eto, Cibo, Mizora. But I just thought it would be interesting ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ But it's not going to happen this time. However, speaking of Caitlyn, last week I saw this design on reddit. I thought it might interest or inspire you ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Caitlynmains/s/crSkTSL5cb ) But enough of an introduction ! Of course, the first thing that jumps out is that the outfit and cosplay are absolutely incredible. Firstly, it's really huge and impressive, but even beyond that, every little detail is there ๐ The boots with the armour pieces on them, the striped trousers, the stitched part on the left thigh, the leather straps, the jacket, the symbols on the shoulders, the neck tattoo, the septum, the cut eyebrow, everything is there. All these details make the cosplay very dense, very thick, and this density of detail, this thickness, is very powerful and tangible ๐งก๐ฅ Of course, the gloves are absolutely impressive, the texture is incredible, a bit rusty, which makes us feel that the glove has lived, and adds life to the image, because it suggests a past at this moment frozen in time. Also the shiny texture, which allows us to feel the metallic side. So the texture is really incredible ๐ฅฐ However, I do have a problem with the gloves, something I'm not completely a fan of, the colour. Not the texture, not the glove itself, its structure, but the colour, of the yellow, and the blue, for me, are far too saturated. And the fact that the colours are saturated like that, for me, brings them closer to two things 2๏ธโฃ Toys/accessories, which unfortunately make us lose the tangible side of the texture, but because such elaborate shapes, combined with such saturated colours, the only thing that has colours like in real life are toys, and so we have the impression of seeing toys, and not iron weapons of war, because in real life, the colours are much more pastel and desaturated ๐๐ฟ And the second thing these colours bring to mind is a cartoon. Because that's precisely one of the hallmarks of cartoons, which have very bright and vivid colours. And even if Arcane isn't aiming for photorealism, its graphic style itself is realistic. Precisely with pastel, desaturated colours, just like in real life ๐ So yeah, for me these colours just don't work. For example, you see the desaturated yellow/gold of the metal parts on the boot in the third image, do you see that colour ? For me, all the yellow parts of the gloves should have been exactly that colour. And the blue part more desaturated and darker ๐ค But even the jacket is very saturated actually. However, the very dark background is interesting, and has two effects. Because with these saturated colours, and this very dark background, it creates a very powerful contrast, which makes you stand out in a really striking and powerful way in the image ๐โจ But at the same time, this contrast also makes what is for me a flaw, the colour of the gloves in particular, stand out even more. So, overall, it's very sweet, and very beautiful. The cosplay is really impressive, even if to me the colours of the gloves are too saturated.
