As a therapist-in-training, Iβm shocked by the lack of education men have, generally speaking, about the subject of hormones, how they factor into the overall sexual equation, etc. I get the sense that many men feel the discussion of hormones is exclusive to women. Most of my male/male-presenting friends, regardless of age (many in their early 30s) are unaware about the hormonal changes men begin experiencing beginning at age 30. Connecting the dots between hormonal health, mental health, and sexual health seems to be a constant challenge.
