very early preview of Alpha(Primal) RPG for Twine

this is basically a pre-alpha build that lets you roll up a character, look at your stats, and wander around aimlessly while reading what the encounter would have been (if it were written)

I plan to start adding content soon, but the core engine is mostly functional and I wanted to give you guys an idea of what this game will be.


I'm still working to convert HardLife over, I've almost got the Classic UI stable again, but I'm trying to split the encounters, NPCs, and normal scenes into separate modules as I rework the core stats and metrics. I've managed to fully partition the save data so I can release incremental updates under the new design.


Last Legend has had quite a few updates this year, but I held off on announcing them hoping to have HL ready first. 


Alpha is helping me to test db driven Actions and Conditional tests, something at the core plan for the Graphical UI build of HardLife. Once I have the scenes/NPCs/encounters split apart and entered into the CMS, I'll be releasing an update to HL-graphical, and I've setup the database to support 2 versions of scenes/etc, so the older codebase and new/experimental design can co-exist with the same core data. (and it allows the old system to be updated independently to the new design once the details are worked out)


I've also been wanting to update the website design to allow logins and saving of preferences (like content filters, style settings for the story reader, and never having to see that damned age-verification screen again... unless you log out)
