River Mausoleum
Added 2016-07-04 08:28:44 +0000 UTCThe River Mausoleum was built to preserve the mummified corpse of Sir deVarjes, a great paladin and his six knights who sacrificed their lives to protect the city of Alamar from the Undead King of the Iron flats.
In the great fight of the Blood Valley the Undead King tried to posses Sir deVarjes' body, but before it was able to do so, the brave paladin threw himself into his own holy sword. The sword pierced the paladin's heart, pinning the undead King's foul spirit inside his own dead body at the same time.
The mausoleum is maintained by a sect that has dedicated their lives to protect the sanctity of Sir deVarjes' dead body. If the body would be desecrated, or the sword removed from the body, its warding powers would vanish and the Undead King would be released from the paladin's body.
