The Fallen Lighthouse
Added 2017-04-19 21:54:46 +0000 UTCThe old lighthouse that used to provide the ships a safe passage around the rocky shores of the peninsula, has fallen into ruins a long time ago. The cellar of the lighthouse has a secret room with a secret escape route through the caverns that located under the ruins of the lighthouse. Now the caverns are infested with underground dwelling creatures.
This map was fun to play and I wanted to use to hone my skills with coloring maps. It's still surprisingly time-taking and I learned again a lot while doing this map. You'll probably see more of colored maps in the near future, as I'll try a couple more techniques to speed up my work and reduce the amount of redundant techniques.
For this map I used Photoshop to color the scanned lineart (the map I posted in my previous post). I just colored different elements, like trees, rocks, floors and wooden furniture, on their own layers and added the shadows and light on separate layers. I used different blending modes and opacity levels to have the desired look.
