Black Feather's Treehouse

A reclusive and mute druid known only as Black Feather dwells in a house built on the branches of an ancient tree. The tree grows on the side of a cliff next to a giant eagle eyrie. People say that the tree was planted originally by faeries and strong magic flows through it. Some claim that the tree is the source of fertility for the valley. It summons rains for the crops and keeps strong winds away. Valley folk who believe this, believe also that Black Feather is the guardian of the tree and the valley. When the sky is clear, Black Feather can be seen soaring in the sky in form of a giant eagle.

Black Feather’s Herbal Potions

Black Feather has a large variety of magical potions brewed out of various strange mushrooms, herbs and tree leaves. You can find up to 8 potions each with different effects.

Roll 1d8:

1 - You feel energetic. You need only half of the usual sleep for the next day.

2 - You feel quick. Move double your normal speed for the next 1d4 rounds.

3 - There’s a bubbly feeling in your belly and you start to float. You can levitate slowly or drop down safely for the next 1d6 minutes.

4 - Your skin turns to bark-like tough hide. You gain natural armor equal to a hard leather armor in effect. The effect lasts for the next 1d6 hours.

5 - You start to shrink and your face starts to turn into a long beak. Bright blue feathers cover your skin and the next moment you notice that you have turned into a tiny hummingbird. Your equipment and clothes do not change. The effect lasts until the next sunset.

6 - A thick fur covers your skin and you grow taller than usual. For the next 2d6 minutes you can reroll any strength-based checks and add one die to your melee damage, but you cannot speak. You can only growl like a bear.

7 - You can see clearly in moonlight and do not suffer any penalties from darkness until the next sunrise.

8 - You feel very, very relaxed. And hungry. You are resistant to any charm or fear based effects, but you also find it difficult to concentrate on spell-casting or other equally demanding mental tasks. When doing such activities, roll 1d6. On a result of 1, you forget what you were doing and your action is cancelled (you do not lose any spells, etc. just the action). This effect lasts for the next 1d8 hours.
