Map Prompt Wishlist: #Mapvember 2019
Added 2019-09-13 07:26:36 +0000 UTCHey, have you heard about #mapvember? If you are familiar with Inktober, this is pretty much the same thing except with maps. For the whole of November, you draw one map per day and post it on social media with a hashtag #mapvember and/or #mapvember2019.
Like previous years, I'm going to organize the event and take part in it myself too. Last year the daily prompts for maps were song names (and we had a public playlist for it too), and in 2017 the prompts were monsters.
I was thinking about the prompts for this year and I thought that it would be fun to let you decide the prompts! As a result, you get to request maps that you need or would like to see drawn by me.
Here's what to do...
- Post a map topic in the comments.
- The topic should be up to a maximum of three to four words. Preferably in format [adjective] + [noun], [Possessive noun] [Noun] or [Noun] of the [Noun]. Examples: Haunted Windmill, Perilous Bridge, Tomb of the Cursed, Inquisitor's Shuttle, etc.
- The map should fit half-page space, or roughly up to 20x20 squares. (So, no Huge Castles or Capital-Class Dreaghnaughts :D )
- Only one map per person, until a second round is announced. This is to ensure that as many as possible are able to participate.
- Once we have 30 or so prompts, I'll collect these into an ordered list. As the organizer, I will hold the rights to drop suggestions if they do not fit the whole or do not otherwise fit the list.
So, what do you say?
Any ideas for the #mapvember2019 maps? :)
