Monthly Map Polls & Voting +X

After some consideration, I have decided to start having monthly map polls, like the one that is running right now here. 

I have had map polls before, but in a different way. This time I have taken the lessons learned from the previous iterations and shaped it so that it will not become too restrictive for my creative process, schedule, and other practicalities. It is still likely that the poll will iterate over the coming months. 

But, in the end, the intent of this is to give you more control over what maps will be released.

In short: Each month you can vote from a given set of topics the ones that you are most interested, and Masterminds and higher-tier patrons have some extra votes to cast after the first round of votes are cast. 

Monthly Map Polls

Around the turn of the month, I will set up a poll, that runs for one week. During this week you can vote for maps that you are interested in. The number of candidates per month may vary. The candidates are drawn from my repository of ready line art or designs, and suggestions from you. 

In each poll you can vote multiple maps, but you can give only one (1) vote per map. Unless your patron tier is Mastermind or higher. 

Voting +X

Masterminds and higher tiers have now a new perk called "Voting +X". I added this reward, because I wanted to boost the influence of my higher-tier patron to reflect their higher financial investment. I value and respect each patron regardless of their level of support equally, but in my opinion this is a fair thing to do. This new reward is in effect immediately.  

Extra votes per tier:

• Masterminds +5 votes
• Ultrapatrons +15 votes

Give your extra votes before the results are announced for one (1) map of your choice - i.e. you cannot divide the extra votes between several maps. The extra votes are given in the closed Mastermind chat channel on Miska's Maps' Discord server. 

Announcing the Results

After the poll, I will prioritize the maps based on the votes, announce the results, and give an estimate of the maps I expect to get finished by the end of the month.  To avoid extra stress and quite literally sleepless nights, the poll will work mainly as a guideline to me. I'll do my best to stick to it and release the planned maps – usually 3 to 5 maps per month  –  but sometimes life gets in the way and some month can be less productive than others.
